Rank the French auto brands
I think Citroen DS line is more luxurious and prestigious than the rest. I kind of like Citroen, they always have been quirky and funky brand, making different cars than the rest. I think Renault and Peugeot are more mainstream. In the 90s Peugeot 205 GTi was a great hot hatch, not sure how good are the current versions are.

In US diesel is close in price to a premium gas. That's why when I was looking at diesel cars it didn't made sense financially, you get better fuel economy with diesel but it is destroyed because of a big difference in price of diesel vs regular unleaded. @balthazar you didn't take into account the higher price of diesel in your calculations. 11000mi/16mi/g= 688 gallons Today's lowest price of regular near me is $2.41, so at today's price it is $1658 11000mi/24mi/g=458 gallons Today's lowest price of diesel is $2.95, so at today's price it will be $1351 You will be saving $307 a year on diesel, if the price difference of diesel truck is $3980, it will take you almost 13 years to make it up on today's gas prices.

34 is CRs overall rating out of 100. It includes number of considerations, one of them reliability. Actually, I am really surprised by some of the cars on the list, some of them were not rated so poorly just last year,

New Year, new car, but which?
Cool vehicles, I like your RAM. Personally, I like the Mustang, plan to get one myself, hopefully in a year or so. Challenger as you said has a lot of personality, and probably will be comfortable on long trips. M3 is great but will be a money pit, especially if you keep your cars for a long time. A Corvette might be also a good option, there are plenty in good condition for a reasonable money.

Your Five Best Cars of the Past Decade
So this is my list: 1. Tesla Model S - first really incredible and stylish electric car that started the revolution. 2. Ford Mustang GT/GT350 - in the last decade from just ok pony car transformed into a world class sports car. 3. Ferrari 458 Speciale - IMO probably one of the most beautiful supercars of the last decade with amazing performance. 4. Ford F-150/Raptor - king of trucks, period. 5. Toyota Highlander - the embodiment of our transition to a boring, practical crossovers and the death of a sedan/wagon.

New Year, new car, but which?
I have G37S which has the same engine and transmission as 370Z. It is obviously heavier then the Z but has many similarities nevertheless. I don't think I would personally go for the Z for a few reasons, while it is a lot of fun, the manual transmission is not great in terms of feel compared to many other sporty cars. Also, personally I think I would like to have V8 in my next fun car. VQ engines are pretty good, and reliable, but lack a little refinement. I know the engine can be turbocharged and probably kicks a@@ with a turbo, but if you had Mustang GT, I think you will miss the V8 feel. Camaro SS I haven't driven, but after I sat in one it was a hard no for me. Not a pleasant feeling being inside of the bunker, and the interior look and the materials are not great. You probably should specify your budget to get better advice.

Your Five Best Cars of the Past Decade
The goal was to make list of the cars from the past decade, 2010 - 2019. Your first two cars are not qualified. Opps, saw people pointed it out already, sorry

@balthazar LOL @ McLaren. First of all, last time McLaren had any meaningful win in Formula 1 was in late 90's Secondary, in 2018 they had an income loss of over 62 million pounds. Not the best example of the profitable and forward looking company. Great engineering in the few supercars they built though.

Your next car
My 2010 G37S is at 192000 I have now 2016 Mazda 6 as my daily, will keep G for now as a "fun" car, it isn't worth much anyway but still runs great, and I really hope in 1-2 years I will be able to buy a used GT350

Chevrolet News:2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Debut with Independent Suspension and available Duramax
I have to say I like the front end on these much more than on SIlverado. Except this trim, this looks horrendous in this color, might be ok on all black truck: Cool though with the raised suspension, it will have some real off road capability, Will be interesting to see how they will compare to Fords. Here is a spy shot of upcoming Escalade

I am actually in my mid-forties now and I like cars from 40s and 50s. Don't like much from 60s (except Mustang and Camaro), Like very little from 70s and 80s. 90s and up are more to my liking.

I think the beauty and proportions are very individual. I am not a big fan of cars designed in 60-70, huge land barges. A lot of them have very awkward proportions, too much chrome.

Way to go comparing RWD platform to FWD, comparing coupe to sedan. How about comparing apples to apples?

Quick Drive: 2019 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring
@dfeltHere we go again with 5'8" people. I am 6'1" and had no issues with CX-9 driver seat. CX-9 indeed tighter on space than some other three row crossovers but it handles like a sports sedan and looks great compared to the rest of soap boxes in the segment.

BMW News: BMW Makes Apple CarPlay Free
You can get free Carplay AND Android Auto in Kia or Chevrolet, but you can't in BMW. Hmmm, something wrong with that picture My friends have '19 530. They had issues with infotainment. Plus it drives like a 20 year old Lexus.

They have been saying same thing for at least last 1.5 years. Yet, nothing happened. I am not saying it will not happen, maybe it will. However, if it happens, many economists will say we predicted it, while they were wrong many times, before their "professional prediction" really came true.

I am not a big fan of Korean twins looks. However, i have seen XT6 closely recently and it looks boring and pedestrian as hell. I think Koreans have more character than the newest Caddilac. It is a shame really.
