What amazes me
Every car site I've been to over the last few days has had multiple people posting in favor of keeping the G8 around any way possible. Last night they discussed the G8 on Autoline After Hours and said the reason why the G8 wouldn't come here was in part due to GM having to engineer a new front clip for it to be a Chevrolet that would take about a year to do and would require them to crash test the car again. I've also heard several people sight the cost of importing a car from Australia as a reason. Why can't GM build it in Ontario next to the Camaro and uses turbocharged engines to maintain performance while gaining weight savings and better MPG? It seems like everyone who pays attention to the auto industry agrees this car is too great to let die.

Got a few hours to kill?
Wow once you start you can't walk away from the computer, I just lost 2 hours of my life....but somehow it was worth it. Great find!

What wax do you use?
I've been using Rejex since my neighbor started using it on his Corvette about 2 years ago. It lasted for 6 months on my car through the winter with just one coat. It also allows bugs, etc to just wipe off the paint when washing. The only down side is it is only available at True Value hardware stores, and cost about $22. It ads a good shine (though not as good as the Meguiar's Gold Class), but it has amazing longevity, and is easy to use. I also leaves no dust!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. YELLOW DART

That was the answer to the question I asked him. I asked specifically about Regal, but he didn't get to detailed.- 1st New Buick Commercial
Technology is my Everest. I'm glad Buick is trying to get new customers who arn't members of AARP or on Oxygen. I never understood the Tiger Woods/Golf ads for that reason. I don't know many hip young people who are into golf? Could have been worse I guess if they had picked bingo.- 1st New Buick Commercial
- Financial Times: GM updates core brands
Why not? Its about time Buick got its mojo back.- Happy Birthday Brougham-Holiday
Thanks all! Just got back from 6 Flags, now its birthday party time.- GM sells Hummer to...... CHINA!!!
X2 The only down side is thinking about how all that marketing/development/etc time and money could have been used to strengthen Buick/Chevrolet/Cadillac/GMC.- GM won't abandon sports cars, pickups and SUVs
Nothing says sporty like a Grand Am wrapped in ribbed plastic with a black plastic dashboard and a Quad 4 under the hood. Imagine having to give that up for a Solstice with sexy curves and a turbocharger, let along build quality. Who in their right mind is going to pay for a car that last 100,000 miles? I'd rather just keep trading in my Grand Am every 3 years before the head gasket goes. Now I'm not doctor, but something tells me there isn't a whole lot "race inspired" by cars equipped with 3.4L V6 engines, outside of that "hot" Ram Air badge.- GM won't abandon sports cars, pickups and SUVs
How dear Bob Lutz bring out such watered down designs as the G8, CTS-V, ZR1, Enclave, Sky, Solstice, Malibu, Lacrosse, and Silverado. Everyone knows Lutz should have followed his predecessors with real quality GM products like the Corsica, Cutlass Calais, Skylark, Sunfire, and Catara. Now those were some real products! I only wish he could have found a way to get a 4 cylinder into the G8 GXP for some real Pontiac excitement.- California Highway Patrol
I thought California was broke, shouldn't they all be driving used Cobalts?- Top Gear Trivia
A little off topic, but how many others are as addicted to Top Gear like I am? Its the greatest car show ever, no scratch that the greatest show ever.- INFO wanted, hummer, saturn, olds
Olds was announced December 12, 2000.- Yes I'm this much of a nerd.
Always a step ahead!- GM to seek another shared Toyota model to replace Vibe
Since they build the Tacoma there maybe a new Colorado? Or a small Chevrolet to sell along side the new Cruze ( like the old Cavalier/Prism)?- Chrysler unveils new electric minivan for U.S. Postal Service duty
Fixed.- 2 Year's Supply of EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!
Too bad this isn't a Toyota, then we could have laughed at the "Best Inventory Levels Ever" in their sales reports. Sadly though that 3400 more G3's then will be sold to retail customers. Avis here they come!- Government bailout sees GM, Chrysler staff experiencing hostile reception
I was at the NY AutoShow on Saturday and heard these same things. While looking at the Converj two guys next too me laughed about this car needing gasoline to extend the range while Honda had the hydrogen powered car at its display. There was also a lot of talk at the Ford display by customers who felt Ford was doing a much better job then GM/Chrysler. A lot of "Fords always been a good company" and "They arn't going out of business like the other two". Sad.- Buick's future
Buick needs to be the brand that is the definition of American cars. Big, powerful, and built to withstand time. It needs to be beautiful without offending, needs to be powerful, and quiet. Both FWD and RWD models should exist with a price range of $30k+.- Buick's Future May Be Chinese!
If GM sells Buick they can go f*** themselves because I;ll never buy one of their products. I already got F***ed when they shut down Oldsmobile, my dad feels f***ed because of all the crazyness around Pontiac (he bought a new one 1 1/2 yrs ago) and now Buick. I'm about ready to call it a day and head over to Chrysler or Ford.- Letter from Congrersman
I'm a customer service supervisor/book keeper in a local grocery store... customers are often that dumb. The Congressman is 100% correct, people will view these new labels as warning labels and stay away from them. How dumb are consumers: They often buy brand name products when the store brand product is right next to it on the shelf, made by the same company on the same line EX: Wonder Bread and IGA Bread... both delivered by the Wonder bread truck. I've told customers this and they still "feel better" about the name brand. While many consumers are very informed, many are not. - Future Buick Lineup Picture and Info
