well its not like the lucern was an original work... the chassis and overall vehicle has been around for 10 years at least...at one point there was the Deville and the Aurura... then it was the Deville & DTS and now there are the DTS and Lucerne... so i would say it wouldnt be that bad of an idea for a 10 year old product that just got a refresh/badgejob- New GM ad campaign?

reminds me of the 99 GTO concept... but maybe thats just cause of the color...- What Is This?
No, no; you're still in the (current) mindset that every GM product must somehow 'fit on the ladder' with all other GM products. That simply does not apply to the past. A Corvette was a Corvette: styling, powertrains, features that made it a Chevy Corvette. A Pontiac Banshee would be just that: a Pontiac-designed & engineered 2-seater with appropriate styling, features & powertrains. It doesn't (didn't) matter in the least that the Corvette existed- this was a completely different car. Comparisons to the vette are natural but would not invalidate the Banshee's existance. Of course, Chevy balked at the idea and whined and got their way. Again. 170351[/snapback] but at that time Corvette hadnt made its mark on the world like it has now... hell Corvette could be its own brand like it is in Europe... because it doesnt fit in chevys line up, but is the driving force on the SS models... Now Cadillac has Corvette so... where does that put everything in the scheem of things?- Pontiac Solstice GXP Commercial
lol... low budget? kinda strange, they are too long tho...- GM retirees give their opinions
I cant think of any Alliance where GM has benifited, except from the Izusu one we got the Duramax... but the Fiat... Suzuki... Fuji Motors...These brands all seemed to bring nothing from the table, but take from GM...- An easy one

they make massive profit as it is... but if we are making the vehicles more expensive, and less appealing to them, they'll most likely just go toward a company that would prefer to inflate their sales... GM doesnt care about rental agencies any more... its time to be concerned with the end user... the Consumer...- GM fleet sales drop at least 60,000 units in '06
We are still getting a volume of customers saying, hey i drove a G6 the other day, I really want to buy one... and Used Fleet vehicles are still avalible... we've got plenty on our lot and that has nothing to do with GM reducing fleet sales... Enterprize & others still want GM vehicles... and if the resale value goes up on the Rented vehicles, this means Ideally the rental companys can charge less for GM vehicles... meaning people can test out the nicer vehicles for a cheaper price.- Arnold Schwarzenegger's New Movie
amen to that!- Toyota Recalls 418,570 Vehicles
