Chrysler really ruined the buisness with that one...

Yea, and perception is reality, and GM must do something about it... if people second guess Toyota's quality GM is in the winners ciricle again.

I think that is awesome, although people expect toyota to unseat GM, its good that someone expects GM to get right back to it... as a question of competition, when was the last time someone was remoltely close to GM as far as sales, I mean like Ford during the 40's or something?

This is good, that diesel will be brought to the states, but will it pass California emissions? if not why even bring it to america? if VW can get 45-50 mpg on a desiel, i think GM can get 55-60, on a moderatly powered car, and if you are concerned on 3$ for diesel, you might be a little happier if 30$ (assuming 50 mpg) can get you 500 miles, compared to the Malibu's 35 mpg where it would cost 42.85$ (assuming both gas and dsl are 3$) to go the same distance...

they come off... but I think they are a great Idea, trys to promote people who think maybe Pontiac, or Buick is a good company and perhaps not realizing that those are also the same cars that make Chevrolet, Cadillac, or Saturn, Hummer, Saab.... these are great I think for the public to realize GM makes all of these, I mean back in the day GM used to have it on every seat belt I remember, I asked my grandpa "Why does this seat belt say GM on it? isnt this a Oldsmobile? So why does it use GM parts if it is an Oldsmobile?" When I was about 7 I asked him that on his olds, but the car was cool

yea I find that strange that the Impala, and the Malibu are trying to be direct competators to the Camry, but one of them is trying to hard, because the Impala should go after the avalon

because I like to root for the under dog, and then I got my firebird, and realized the value of a good automobile... like the time I went to an auto show with my friend, and his 4 cars as the guy was directing my friends dad in parking his 70 SS Chevelle, my friends mom commented on how close he was allowing the car to his body (almost against his shins) and he replied "Ma'am, It would be an Honor to be run over by this car." Things like that is why I enjoy the car company, because so many people value the company, and what it is capable of, at first I was dumb founded on how anyone could cherrish a car so much, but now I know, and I thank GM for that. I have learned to Love my Firebird with all its imperfections because of they way I feel when I drive it. The feeling of sheer power, the fact I can push my foot on the ground slightly and the car can throw me into my seat... its love that no woman can give me... its awesome I love my car

that engine still has potential, that was still climbing when the gas was cut....

there isnt anything wrong with that engine... it was a quick camaro, a strong accelorator in the lasabre, i wouldnt say it was a bad choice... sure its no V8, but to the average Toyota/Honda buyer, the thing is a race car... GM's HP is so much faster then Toyota's HP... donno why gearing? torque? Drive train loss? but it is...

looking at his success with MGM he has spun lots of stuff off of that, I'm almost certain he'll spin off the other automotive brands GM has... and they would be very difficult to do, because they all use the same technology now...

why would he care if you intended to spin off all the automotive devsions? Why would he care if he intended to spin off GMAC?

if anything its a plus, unfortnatly. price gouging resembles the car as a whole, a "gotta have it factor" if you must. if the dealers can raise prices (although they shouldnt and have been warned by GM not to) it shows the car is a good value, and possibly could be a good value at a higher price.

frankly I hope there is a bigger difference in the GMC, i would be really unsatisfied with the GMT900 if the GMC looked so identical... and I really hope the GMC trucks are distinctly different as well, i hate the fact I get my cars mixed up... I say Thats a Suburban, ohh my bad Yukon XL... and hopefully the truck is a good value and a good looking vehicle as well

but this robs GM's greatest asset... vareity... comon if you dont want a Mustang you can get a camaro, but if you dont want a camaro you could get a firebird... if you dont want a Impala, maybe a Grand Prix Really does the trick for you... if you dont want a Tahoe, maybe a Yukon would suffice? GM doesnt need to market them differently, why not have a commercial that adverstizes them together? but then you have the people that say "man the last Chevy truck I had sucked, it always broke down, i hated it, now I love my GMC..." Same year model the person doesnt even realize they are the same... :(

i dont think its good if we run out of 06's... but we will be the last, because we are one of the only ones to have 05's left, and if all of the southern cali runs out of tahoes and suburbans... I think GM will have something strange on their hands... hopefully the GMT900's will be a hit though, hopefully they wont wait 7 years to resculp these trucks again... the market is getting more and more competative, and if GM can sweep the competition, it will be easier for them a few years down the road... if GM teaches Nissan to get out of the truck buisness that makes it all the more power to GM, same to Honda, although I dont think Toyota will back down, although they dont sell near the volume that GM and Ford do...(trucks) Hopefully it will be a dead hit, and the intior will be class leading, (Thank you Lutz)

my desk manager said no more 06 Tahoes can be ordered and that by march 07 Subs and Tahoes should be on the lot... hopefully we dont run out of 06 before the 07's show up...

That middle truck isnt the same truck as the top and bottom... the hood is different on the bottom one, and the wheels are different in the middle...
