PM me his address, and I'll send our resident Tight Whips to his house to...um...straighten him out.

Naw, there's no place for a Vtec sticker Thinking a couple of years out when my Cobalt is paid off, I hope I'm in the financial position to add to my stable, rather than replace. If so, I have these in my crosshairs: Not necessarily the 50th anniv., but any gently used C5 convertible: C6s are holding their resale value very well, and 'verts will probably be out of my reach when I'm ready and of course:
  3. Well, for all those who want Wagoner out, I hope that when the MY07-10 vehicles fare much better in the market than GM's current vehicles, and GMNA returns to profitability, that you give credit where it's due.
  4. hah...my friend and I were just talking about this. He'd go for a G6 sedan with the 2.4, but said "No thanks" when he found that it didn't have a stick. This might sway him, a potential conquest buyer.
  5. That's so cute. It just puts onto paper the way most of us feel about our cars.

  7. IIRC, it was supposed to be out in the early '00s, but was sent back to the drawing board for one reason or another. I'm not sure why, though. Consequently we got the 2003 hack-job of a refresh for the Cavalier.
  8. I love the strut for the hood! My truck had the prop rod, and I can't tell you how many times I've rung my head while changing the oil. I'd like to think I've bought my last vehicle with a prop rod. The trunk opening is rather smallish, but believe it or not, fold down the rear seat and you can slide a mountain bike in there no problem (after taking the front tire off). The trunk hinges are an excellent design that makes this smallish trunk opening able to swallow bigger things. What radio were you looking at? On mine, the clock is on as long as the key isn't in the "off" position. And the bright blue display is nice and easy to read, only slightly less so when the sun is hitting it directly and I have sunglasses on. I'll give you the rear legroom complaint. It's much less of an issue for me because I'm rather short and keep the seat up. If I were taller, I wouldn't carry anyone I didn't hate in the back seat. RE: the cloth coming off the door panels. There's a TSB on it, and the fix is larger door pull cups. So far my car hasn't had this problem. I'll concede that this shouldn't have made it to the outside world, but GM has taken notice of it and provided a fix.

Wow, I'm so sorry. I know you loved that car. As long as you and your girlfriend are OK. As much as we love our cars, they're just inanimate objects (without intervention from us) and are replaceable. You aren't.

Yeah, and who wants to see a pic of a kid doing a burnout in a tricycle, anyway? I have no pics of myself as a child, and no scanner at home. I might have to do some digging.

Watch out for the 98s, I've heard that they had a few bugs in them. If you can find a 2000+ specimen, though, I think all of those bugs should be worked out. I gotta say, in the right color and wheel combinations, the P90 Malibu is a very sharp looking car, with probably the nicest looking GM interior of its time.

Lots of luck to you Joe. Your contributions to C&G will never be forgotten. Oh, and if Chevy ever decides to produce the Kappa Nomad, stay away from it....please :AH-HA_wink:

Threads like these really show the strength of the C&G community. In most other forums this topic is forbidden from discussion at all cost. Here, it's allowed to be freely discussed, and we made it through eight pages without anything flaring up. Even the Christians who posted in this thread come from different denominations and have different "approaches" (for lack of a better word) to Christianity, but we've managed to keep it civil. Though I haven't said a whole lot in this thread, my posts in it should give you an idea of what side of the fence I'm on. I look forward to reading more insightful posts, and perhaps returning the favor.

You'd actually have to get the Chrysler part numbers and compare them. If the Neon 'roof has the same P/N as another car, then you're golden. It's highly unlikely, since sunroofs usually have to match the contour of the roof of the car that they belong in. But it's worth a shot.
  17. Your statement is only half true, Satty. I agree that most people shopping for a car care more about things like safety, reliability, economy, comfort, features, value, etc. than which car has the most horsepower. But HP bragging rights is something enthusiasts do, no matter what side of the fence they're on. Remember all the cries of "Why can't GM compete" when Honda released the 240hp Accord, Nissan the 240hp Altima and 265hp Maxima, and Toyota the 280hp Avalon? Apparently all the 3800SC-powered cars are a figment of everyone's imagination, but I digress.

Last night, when i was making the changes to the Site Stats box, the site died right after I saved the file. You could imagine how frantic I became. Luckily it was just a coincidence.

  22. I commented that section of code out for now. You shouldn't see "reviews" in the site stats block at all anymore. I *think* there's a way to get that Reviews stat to reflect what's actually in "C&G Drives", but I'll need to look into it further.
