Insider help please: Ultra V8
In an attempt to bring this thread back on track after another FWD-RWD debate, I'll say that last I heard, the UV8 was slated for use in the Lambdas (at least in the Enclave). Since the V6 has 280-something horsepower, I'm pretty certain we'd see something well north of 300hp out of the UV8.

GTO discontinued?
I think you're onto something, caddycruiser. Pontiac marketing has all but forgotten the GTO, and has failed to recognize the fact that the ones out now are wven better than the ones that were available when they were advertising the car. My gut feeling (based on no facts whatsoever): There will be another GTO, probably after a brief hiatus. Pontiac's lineup looks too weak without it. After it and the GP go away, we'll be stuck with a 240hp G6 as Pontiac's flagship vehicle. That won't cut it for a performance division.

My 'Outlook'
97RegalGS: I really don't think there's any need for grilling Josh any further than you aready have. I have been on this site long enough to know that C&G is not nor has it ever been a source of shock journalism, and anything that appears on this site has some sort of "source" behind it. Only this time the source turned out to be illegitimate. In any case, the damage has been done. If you're looking for an apology, you already got one. It's time to move forward.

What's your favorite...
I usually look forward to a rock concert or two every year. Last year it was a Def Leppard/Bryan Adams doubleheader at a minor league ballpark in Brooklyn, followed by Aerosmith in November (I never get tired of seeing them). I also love travelling, especially if it involves an airplane. Not sure where I want to go this year. I may do a couple of smaller, closer to home trips this year, since the IRS wasn't as generous with my refund as they have been in the past. I'd like to do the all-GM Nats, maybe the Woodward Dream Cruise, and of course the Corvette museum.

Buh-bye Seville
LOL @ XP As I put on my chain-mail vest, I'll ask this: since you're thinking of a PA, would you consider one of it's G-body siblings...namely, the Aurora and the Bonneville?

---- How well do you know me?
I gotta 80. I would've gotten a 90 but I pulled the trigger too quickly on #1.

ok, I've pretty much decided...
How about an old Vega panel express? This morning I saw an early 70s example (the one with the Camaro style front) and I was surprised at how much I liked it.

america
We need to outsource the federal goverment to India, China, or some other developing nation. That way things can get done quickly and efficiently with less expense to the American people.

My new Camaro....
This thread makes me wish for longer legs. If I could press the clutch pedal in a 4th gen Fbod without having to slide forward in my seat, I'd be the proud owner of a 2001 NBM Z28 right about now.

Spy Shots: Wide-body Cadillac CTS-V for 2007
I honestly don't know why they'd bother...the CTS is supposedly up for a redo in '08. Maybe that's a test mule.

Can You Solve This?
I like the Lucerne because it evokes the less extravagantly styled Buicks of the 1960s that were IMO beautiful in their simplicity. Time for a brief pictorial: 1965 LeSabre 1966 Skylark 1967 Riviera 1967 Electra

He hasn't grown into his coat yet So how much of your day is consumed with sweeping up giant hairballs? That smudge pic reminds me of the pic I have of our Basset Hound...sniffing the camera:

He looks awesome, and he's not even halfway grown yet. I'd honestly love a Malamute if I could fit one. My friend had two of them, and they were just great...big mushes with people. Plus, he never had a problem with "critters" wandering into his yard after a while.

Car Doors
I think TurboRush said my feelings perfectly. I like to be able to give the door a gentle push and have it close completely, but I don't want to get the impression that I'd flip the car over by doing so. My Cobalt coupe I beleive has counterweights inside the doors...they're rather long, but take only a slight amount of effort to close. My Blazer had doors that were pretty light (for a mid-80s SUV), but when we installed all-new weatherstripping, it took quite a swing to get them to close.
