Toyota stares at the floorboards
For a fact I know the 2 models you listed will not engage the the engine n neutral at all or ever. I tested the 200 4r yesterday on the freeway and I owned a car with the 700 and never noticed it. Since, while driving i like to put my cars in neutral and rev them, its cheap entertainment. What happened in your case since the engine was overheating was a rare phenomenon called dieseling. very common in older gm's with electrical issues. old neighbor had a 83 caprice that would do it. He would shut of the car and get out and the engine would continue to run in a misfire state for a good 2-3 minutes. However, if the car is carbureted and its Hot then gas can continue to flow freely and the engine is so hot combustion occurs with out spark hence the name dieseling. This can occur in any make of car, even carbureted lawn equipment. Im willing to bet this is what happened, but i have been wrong before.

Some cheap oil....
hmmm.. the vibe is up on miles. I still love Royal purple but its too expensive but I can get 6-7000 miles on a change in the caprice where conventional is exactly 3k and Mobil 1 gets sludge and thick at 4k. I was surprised with Valvoline platinum? synthetic. good stuff that's reasonable priced.

Attn: longtime C&G members
since he name is brought up i think i would like to share something. awhile back he posted about applying for a temp job at the Livonia Cadillac engine assembly plant. and then reported "he didn't get it," Actually No one got the temp jobs becasue they either failed preliminary background checks (active criminals, invalid identification, probation) or failed drug test. i think i remember 30 people applied and only 2 passed the drug test but failed background checks. I don't know which category he fell into but, I knew a person working there that was doing training. Just thought you would like to know.

"dumb me"
I remember in my blazer I did that. I went to pop the the hood while it was on ramps and it was a stick I popped the parking brake up and it rolled of the ramps down across the street and up the curb and stopped in the lawn across the street. I couldn't stop laughing at my self.

C&G Epitomizes Forum Quality
its beacuse most are one sided either intel or amd, Nivida or ATI, Asus or DFI, Evga or XFX. I mean right now Intel has the best available cpu and ATI has the best video car out. but that can always change. I am a Intel fan and Nvidia fan but in the past I purchased ATI and AMD products because they either where better or had higher value for that application.

Is it me or are cars just starting to look the same? Lots of design elements coming from other cars here.

September Car Spotting Thread
saw a Cadillac CTS wagon today. White is not its best color and why did they look at Volvo for the taillights. they are way to big and span the entire height of the back end.
