The Credit Crunch Gets Serious.....
A pull-ahead program is not some pre-ordained right. Weird that you would choose not to work with GMAC because of that, but hey, it's a free country

Is the General on the brink of bankruptcy?
lots of variables. It would depend on what kind of concessions they could get from the unions and how they could spin the "Moving Forward" concept.

Is the General on the brink of bankruptcy?
Hopefully not.....the Kmart/Sears merger could not have been handled in a worse way.

Is the General on the brink of bankruptcy?
Its not an attitude its a fact. GM would come out of BK better able to compete at the cost of union jobs and Shareholder money.

Is the General on the brink of bankruptcy?
For Unions and Shareholders yes. Consumers might not notice at all. Choice could be down, but value might be higher.

Is the General on the brink of bankruptcy?
bankruptcy could be just what the general needs. It would get them out of all of the crappy contracts that they signed. Shareholders would lose their shirts, but in the long run the company could emerge lean, mean and WAY better off.

when my LS430 had the transmission replaced, I got $200 in gas cards for my trouble- Automakers offer help for Katrina victims
Nevermind my posts. They were in response to several threads in the previous forum about C & G getting their press credentials back from GM. Admins making up quotes wont get you there. Whether my info is correct or not is irrelevent, Northstar's was clearly fabricated. And it hardly metters whether it was a joke or not. Maybe the owners here dont care about being taken seriously, then completely disregard my posts. Sorry for the trouble. See Ya......- Automakers offer help for Katrina victims
yeah that looks like it. I was citing from memory. Northstar just made his up.- Automakers offer help for Katrina victims
http://www.jmfamily.com/press/20040817c.htm Thats the one I found, I do recall them upping it though after the hurricanes that followed. I wont take it personal. I really dont care, I'm not a toyota fan, I just thought making up a quote from someone was a bit over the line even if it was a joke. The quote is one of the last things we can count on in journalism and if people just start making those up, theres no need to believe anything we read. I come to this site for news, I thought thats what it was about.- Automakers offer help for Katrina victims
Toyota gave several million dollars in aid for the Florida hurricanes last year and I would expect them to do the same for Katrina which hit even closer to their operation here. I remember on the old board, there was a desire to legitimize this place as a hard news site. Making up quotes will not take you down that path.- Floridians
1. Welcome to Florida, if you live here you get used to it. 2. Havent seen them, i live in Tampa. 3. The worst drivers in the world are here, St pete is number 1 city for pedestrian deaths and Tampa is number 2 for per capita collisions. Other than that, its great living here :) - Toyota recalls 57,000
