  1. You hit the nail on there head there. A snap action should not pass judgement on a person as a whole. Because they made a fool of him in front of a live audience, his reasonable judgement was put to the side to find something hurtful to strike back and it's always the most obvious thing. In this case it was being black. It could have been homophobic, fat, bald, ugly or many other things. Bad choice of words? Yes. Racist? Unproven.

The G5 does not share it's taillights with the Cobalt sedan.

If and when I see a leaking Ecotec exhaust manifold in our shop then maybe I'll start to worry. It happens so few and far between, it's not a concern in the least.

The 2.2 doesn't have VVT. Only the 2.4 and 2.0 turbo Ecotecs have it. The wife has a 05 2.2 G5 Pursuit as well. Engine has been flawless and noise free so far. Very disappointed in my 2.4 as I got rid of my 02 Grand Am V6 because I hated the piston slap it had.

You get part of the paperwork at the border. Form 1 with a white & yellow copy to be exact. The Form 2 will come in the mail in 7-14 days after you cross the border. Form 2 will tell you what needs to be done. Don't take anything the customs agent says as gospel as it seems too many of them don't have the right information. With a GM vehicle, all you'll typically need is the recall letter confirming that there are no current open safety recalls on the vehicle. Get it from GM Canada or get the dealer to print out a copy of the vehicle history using the VIN. A letter from the dealer itself will not be accepted.

I have a 2006 Pontiac G5 with the 2.4 VVT Ecotec. At about 1500kms, I started to get a startup noise that sounds eerily like piston slap from a GM V6 or V8. I wasn't aware that the Ecotec also suffered from this. Anyone else have this misfortune on the Ecotec?
