  1. If it's such a big deal why did they only rate it for use with an ancient 4spd auto???
  2. In a truly selfish way, I hope it's not that popular at all, at least until after I get mine. Otherwise the Pontiac dealers will kill it with markups like they did with the GTO launch.
  3. Not even close to being a tough choice. G8 all the way. The only issue I have with it is that it took 3-4 years for GM's answer to the 300C/Charger!!

    What he said
  5. It'll be "unveiled" soon at the NAIS in Jan but won't be available for sale until later (most likely fall) in '07.
  6. So this is a different 3.6 than the rumored DI version that will be in the next CTS, correct?

If I didn't know better I'd think I was looking at pics of some factory in eastern Europe or the former U.S.S.R.
  8. I kind of doubt it'll launch with 3 trim lines. I expect a V6 (probably 3.9L) RS and a V8 Z/28 (probabaly LS2). The higher end model (SS) probably won't be available for a couple of years (like when the 4th gen launched) and even then I HIGHLY doubt the Carmaro will get the LS7. Probably just some ram air hood and tweaked exhaust for a bit more HP. People thinking that the LS7 is going to be just thrown into the Camaro are dreaming IMO.
  9. Congrats on your new ride. I'll hit my 1 year mark with my '05 GXP in a week. Great car and no problems to speak of!
  10. What the hell's gonna replace them? Other threads on this site say that, although rumors are swirling to the contrary, there are no plans for a Pontiac Zeta at the moment. If they kill the GP, the G6 will be the "top of the line" for Pontiac???
  11. No it isn't. It likes to say it's the performance division, but there's very little performance offered by Pontiac. It's a mere shadow of it's former greatness. I just hope that GM focuses it's efforts on Pontiac after Saturn is done. Otherwise, it might as well join Olds on the scrap heap.
  12. The Motorola Q looks promising. Styling of a RAZR with full keyboard and Windows Smartphone 2005.
  13. LS4 in the Grand Prix GXP has 323ft/lbs of torque, too much for this new tranny unless they beefed it up like they did with the 4T65E (although there have already been some tranny failures in GXP's )
  14. The Grand Prix GXP has a lot more features than the Impala SS. Better tires greatly reduce torque steer on the Pontiac compared to the SS. Plus the staggered tire sizes help reduce understeer when cornering. The Biltein struts are also a great handling improvement that is not available on the Impala, and the PBR brakes on the GXP are incredible. The SS is just a normal Impala with the LS4 drivetrain while the GXP has many more upgrades over the normal Grand Prix. No comparison IMO.
  15. Because they don't need to "modify" anything for the Super. They're just going to stuff the LS4 into it and all that work has already been done for the GP GXP & Imp SS, both of which use a "strengthened" 4T65E. I highly doubt they'd do something different for the LaCrosse when they're all built on the same line.
  16. Too bad Chevy skimped out on the Impala SS and went without the handling improvements (big brakes, staggered tire sizes, etc) and just plopped the LS4 in the engine bay. The Grand Prix GXP is the real deal for FWD perfomance sedans.
  17. Yeah, what he said!
  18. The problem still exists for me too. What's the full address you use to make it work?
  19. The front page is returning a content-type of application/octet-stream rather than text/html or text/xhtml which is causing the Firefox browser (at least for me) to not be able to display the page. Rather, you are prompted to either "Save to disk" or "Open with..." a different program. Can you update the content-type of the front page please?
