Instead of looking at them on the highway or on paper go drive those two and if you have an ounce of soul you will reverse that decision. (though for mundane reliable driving the Lexus is hard to beat) I recently did exactly that before parking a BMW in my garage and there is simply no comparison & no hesitation when deciding which is the better driver once you drive the new BMWs. And if they, (Lexus) really think that IS350 does 0-60 oor the quarter as quick as the 335i coupe I'd love to race for pink slips: ) Or heck, I'd race em just for fun too.

I can easily believe that and Toyota's quality has decreased as their recalls have increased. (weren't their recalls in 2004 around 230,000. while in 05 they hit over 2 million?? ) Toyota is really having problems with a decline in quality I just wonder if they will fix them before the consumer's perception changes??After owning nearly 50 cars in my short lifetime I purchased my first Asian made vehicle in 2005 due to Toyota's reputation and the experiences of others in my family. From the trim coming loose on the roof, the see through plastic on the guages being scratched when brushed slightly w/ a rag to the loud "thunking" noise in the rear glass when making a turn I was not impressed. I gave up my previous unreliable vehicle with a "soul" to own a reliable car and instead ended up with a boring, souless, unreliable car from Toyota and for the last 6 months I owned that Toyota I could only think each time I got behind the wheel how happy I would be when I got rid of it. And the famed Toyota "resale" value??? What a joke. I bought a loaded Avalon Limited for $37,000. and 18 months and 18,000. miles later I was offered $24,500. trade in?? I think that might be worse than my last Cadillac.

I thought the 13.5 seemed a little off personally but maybe only by 1 or 2 tenths. I had ordered and then decided against a Subaru WRX Sti "Limited" (same as the Sti but w/leather and without the big rear spoiler) and the Subbie handles a little better than the 335 and has a faster seat of the pants feel from 0 to 60-70 but around this point the 335i seems to pick up somewhat and hit the sweetest spot in the 75-95mph range. Don't know if it is truly the sweet spot but sure feels like it. After just reaching the 1,000. mile mark on the the odometer I raced one of the regular STi's (C&D says something like 0-60 in 4.5 sec and 13.3 in the quarter I think?) W/all wheel drive I got smoked from the start and then noticed around 40 or so we running pretty even (though she did have a couple of car lengths at this point) and we stayed pretty close to around 65 when I started gaining ground before shutting down at around 110 we had gotten even and if we had continued I would played ahead. My guess? Maybe 13.3/13.4 in the quarter at about 104 maybe 105?

Just purchased, wait, leased one. Very nice and after looking at the Lexus IS350 w/a reported 0-60 time in the 5.3 range I have to more than agree with a possible 4.8 time slip for the 335i. I knew the BMW would handle better than the Lexus but man, there is simply NO comparison between the IS350 and the 335i. I considered the CTS V but could not find a local dealer that would had or would be getting one.
