2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe - Non Supercharged
Sweet. It looks really nice. If only it had a stick... but I'd be happy enough if my dad bought me a new car... *sigh*

Asians oversell horsepower
All this makes me wonder how much horsepower my Quad4 powered GA would make under the new ratings.... Hmm...

The only Euro make worth bringing back here is Alfa Romeo, IMO.

GM Says: "Let's Rock"
I am one who thinks the GTO should be a stand alone model... But, with a Grand Prix based off it (I.E. seperate styling).

Car Spotting
As I said, I went to the dealer a few weeks ago. Here are the pics... Impala http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...8891/IMPpic.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...91/IMPfront.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...91/IMPlight.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...891/IMPside.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...891/IMPback.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...8891/IMPint.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...91/IMPstick.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blackviper8891/Gm3.jpg Grand Prix (for slightly revised interior) http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...r8891/GPext.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...r8891/GPint.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blac...8891/GPint2.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blackviper8891/Gm2.jpg GM badge locations on Colorado and Uplander http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blackviper8891/Gm1.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/blackviper8891/Gm4.jpg As for my thoughts, The Impala doesn't impress me. It is just too boring and the headlights are too bolbous. It's a big, uninspiring car that will sell well... but not to me. The Grand Prix. As I said, I took pics because of the interior. What's changed includeds: chrome accents around HVAC vents and door handles, brushed aluminum looking accents instead of silver painted, arrowhead emblem instead of "GP," toned down info center area with a passenger airbag sensor light below, revised center console, and unlocked doors. :P Okay, the last isn't a feature, but that's how I luckily got the interior shots. Also, later they added some accesories (not shown). The bigger spoiler, brushed alum grill, and the quad-tipped exhaust. It looks good... although I would have prefered the 04 wheels... just done in the same finish. Now the GM badges. I don't like them at all. If I were to buy a new GM, the first thing that would be removed would be that stupid badge... even before dealer stickers. The placement is horrible on most vehicles and clutters up the styling. It would have looked better on the trunk...

AZTEK ONE YEAR REVIEW
There's a dark red and a silver one at my dealer. They've been there for awhile, to say the least. So long that the arrowhead has faded. Quite sad, actually.

3 Things About Grand Am
You want to know what else isn't working? The fuel door. As you know there is a lever inside to open it. Just the other day, I put fuel in it and worked fine. Today... nothing. I'm going to have to check it out tomorrow, but something isn't right... Also, I'm in the process of getting more pics of it. I'm looking for some scenic places to take them. I found one, but it's at a cemetary and there's some weeds that may need cut. It's on top of a hill and you can see for atleast 5 miles.

3 Things About Grand Am
Okay, The GA meet date has changed already. It is now the following weekend of September 24-25. Thanks for info about the badges. Just in case the paint is darker... How easy is it to put the badges back on? :P

I think I'll pass on the CB radio. I don't really need one.

3 Things About Grand Am
First, is the parking brake supposed to work? :P Seriously... My yard is on a hill if anyone noticed from some of my pics. The driveway is level. However, today I washed and waxed my GA. Since the driveway needs re-graveled, my GA gets filthy just sitting there when it rains. So I parked it in the yard.. and set the parking brake. Well, I like to sit in it and listen to music sometimes. I was doing that last night. I ended up messing around and pressed in the clutch... *surprise* it starts rolling back. It now sits 3ft from where it was originally. I wasn't expecting that... So, this is nice to know... Second, how do I remove the badges? Or, should I even do it with the paint being 10 y/o? Also, would the vent visors be removed the same way? I am considering removing all of that for a clean look (and an easier time waxing). Any help is appreciated. Third, for any Grand Am owners near or in PA, there is meet coming up. It's going to be in Allentown on the weekend of September 17-18. The date is not set in stone yet, though. Activities are still being tossed around... So if anyone is interesting, PM me.

That was a great read. I want to see the pics, though... So badly. The Pontiac ones...

The Phazer & or Radar Detectors
Never heard of it, Sixty8... But it sounds like it is not a radar detector and just a laser jammer. MT says "Be advised: Jamming or attempting to jam a police radar gun is a felony carrying fines up to $75,000." However "When deployed, especially in conjunction with a high-performance conventional radar/LIDAR detector, jammers can neutralize many laser guns within their legal operating parameters." Anyways, yes, the Valentine One is as good as they say. It's biggest downfall is its price. Ergonomics and POP mode sensitivity are the only catagories it scored lower than the competition in. The Escort Passport 8500 is cheaper and almost as good. Either one would be an excellent choice... but if price doesn't matter ($399 vs $299) go for the Valentine. Also, ask Nick about some of this stuff. He actually owns a Valentine... I'm just reading a one year old MT test...

GM Interns Return
That's exactly what I have always thought. Overall, I agree with your entire post. Anyways, as I've said many times before, I like both FWD and RWD equally. Actually, if anything, I like FWD just the tiniest bit more. There's something about the front wheels being driven that enlightens me. I think FWD provides better proportions and the ability to have a shorter rear overhang as well. The front overhang usually is larger on FWD cars, but vehicles like the Mini Cooper prove that it isn't necessary. FWD can be performance oriented, too, which enlightens me even more. Some FWD vehicles can outperform RWD ones. However, it isn't because of the drive wheels. There are other factors, but that's kinda my point... ;) Also, torque steer is hardly ever an issue. Atleast with most GM vehicles (probably due to the criticized electric steering, I would say). Most FWD naysayers exaggerate it as if it's going to cause you to wreck. Well, unless you lack driving ability... it probably will never happen. The only huge advantage RWD has (imo) is the ability to do donuts and such. Not burnouts, though, as they're possible with FWD. But all this is only important to people who like to show-off. :P As long as a vehicle has sporty styling, 2-doors, and a stick... I'll take it, FWD or RWD. :D

Chevy Cobalt SS S/C Sedan
I think that grill treatment is so much better than production. It would make a great update... along with the sedan getting those taillights. I also think the regular body-colored mirrors look better. The whatchama-call-it pillar needs to be black too.

My time zone settings just got screwed up...
The same thing has happened to me... I checked my settings to see that they're fine. I was thinking that I blacked out or was going crazy or something as it was suddenly 4 hour difference...

I Need Feedback! Quickly!
I guess... Anyways, I forgot to add that a manual transmission equipped car + a wet road + an interstection + a hill + a 16 y/o driver that just got his license and is still learning to use the manual tranny = bad news. :D Yes, I spun the front wheels. It was fun, though, and I couldn't help but smile afterwards.

Car Spotting
I have a bright green 1/18th scale one sitting somewhere in my Den. :P As for my spots... Ooh... I have pics to post of when I went to the dealer last week. A new Impy, 06 GP GT, and the placement of the GM badge on a few vehicles. They still didn't have any 06 G6s, though... Anyways, today I saw a Buick Reatta. That is a very rare car. I just saw my first one a few months ago. This being the second time. It is one of the better looking Buicks, too. Maybe it will be in my Underappreciated Buicks thread. :D

Idk, maybe I mistaken what he said...

Mitsubishi Concept Sportback
The front isn't beautiful, but this is something I like about it. But the grill is hideous. The actual 'sportback' part of it is nice, though. And the rear isn't bad, but those taillights remind me of the B9 Tribeca's... Not a good thing. I hate the side and the high belt line. Overall, I have mixed feelings about it.

Mother$%*@#^ mouse!
I need a new mouse too... The current is one with a ball. Usually the mouse works fine. It's the computer than f**ks up all the time. I just need a whole new PC... and a scanner.

Christian Rock...ugh
I hate any religion based music.. It usually sucks as some have said. I'm not very religious in the first place. I'm a dirty sinner... and am hell's Pontiac fanatic. :D :P Mmm... did Variance say Korn? I love Korn... B)

The 1995 Grand Am GT 5spd
Nah... It always ticks. Although when I'm off the gas to decelerate or go down a hill, it doesn't. But when I'm on it or it's idling, it does. It does it the most when I'm cruising with my foot hardly on the gas. According to the previous owner, it starting ticking when he put in valve coils... I think that's what he said, atleast.

Just A Question
Okay...
