  1. Durn, I guess I'm the only one who sees a bit of H3 in the gun slit side windows. From the spy pictures, it appears to be better looking than the shovel-chin Durango.
  2. Very cool. I love the shooting brake bodystyle in general, as it combines sport, style and utility with emphasis on sport. The interior is TIGHT. Makes me want a Kappa Nomad even more. Next Mini will have a shooting brake available as well.

Ok, let's get this party started. I only have one picture so far. A big ol' THANK YOU to the brave soul who risked everything to share this little part of himself. See if you can match the pic to the member: Come on, guys! I need more pictures. Don't be shy!
  4. I don't believe that RWD is inherently heavier than FWD. I mean, it still has to have a transmission/transaxle and a differential whether it's all stuffed up front under and around the engine or separated by a driveshaft.
  5. Prices are finally up at Chevy.com, so if anyone wants to build their own, have at it. It seems as though the LTZ has more standard features than the SS, but the SS has that awesome smallblock.
  6. It was finally a nice day here today, so I decided to tackle a couple of small projects. I am soon getting a new door on the front of my house installed by others. I also have a side entrance door out of my garage and I wanted it to match the new front door, so I painted it from dark blue to white, added a new lockset and deadbolt, and put up a new motion-sensing light fixture above it. It looks nice and I'm proud of myself, but it took me freakin' forever. So, how handy are you guys with a hammer?
  7. It's "vestige".

You're so weird. Why, oh why would anyone want to be a condom?
  9. Well thank ya daves87. You're pretty cool yourself. Wow, the sky is clear this morning for the first time in like forever. I'm going for a nice refreshing walk.

While I agree that Buick needs help, this French naming thing is not new. Does anyone think the cars they were attached to made the names great and not the other way around? When the Invicta, Electra, Wildcat and Centurion names were phased out, Buick carried on. I think Lucerne is an elegant name that conjures up old-world class and a certain longevity. Give 'em a chance to show us this new car, and let's hope for a knockout flagship sedan above it, plus a coupe and convertible, and a crossover with graceful styling. The current Rendezvous is a shoebox with Buick styling cues barely etched into the surface.
  11. Well, I suspect you cannot get any more direct in a comparison of old v. new with the above test.
  12. The plug would have been covered under warranty if it had been defective. It sounds to me like it was either crossthreaded or rounded off (wrong size wrench?) by them or the guys who changed it last time, that's not the plug's fault, that's user error. So I wouldn't say it was warrantable. The service advisor's attitude was reprehensible though. Sounds like he needs a good asskicking. Yes, it is very possible that your air filter was dirty enough to replace at that kind of mileage. You had every right to ask for the old parts.
  13. I've gotten PMs from people trying to draw me deeper into arguments here and telling me to mind my own effing business. But I don't let it bother me. I laugh it off. We're supposed to be having fun here I believe.
  14. Happy Birthday, Weapons of Mass Jestruction!
  15. It does look almost exactly like the current Escape greenhouse and doors. Reminds me of a Ranger-esque refresh. Perhaps the Escape will be the next Ford product to run for 25 years.
  16. That sepia pic with her in the black lace thingy is my favourite.

:o My jaw fell off my face and hit the floor. That car is so damn cool.

They had to put it in there to take your mind off the 4 spoke wheel. This trim kit has been banned for all G6s with the 3 spoke wheel.
  19. Empowah, look at your Cobalt pics again. The impact on the hood is only on the right side, see the finely crinkled sheetmetal and missing paint? The car hit a pole just outboard of the right frame rail and peeled everything back. The bumper impact bar is only damaged on the right end. This was not a height issue, the car hit something vertical.

Agreed, z. The '06 Impala is a goodlooking car, substantial and big looking, yet sporty.
  21. Foglamps aren't standard on the Solstice. You prolly saw some without the fogs. I haven't seen one yet without them, as all the promo photos show the optional fogs.
  22. Hold on a minute Satty. Nothing was drooping in that photo I sent you, why you gotta dis me in your artwork? <_<

Sly Solstice at the local dealership. A stunner for sure.

  25. Nope, Sixtee, tell us!
