The Offbeat, the Unusual & the Ugly
So far, I've seen a lot of vehicles in this thread that I hope Toyota comes out with.

Car Spotting
Speaking of the new VUE, I saw a white, top line model yesterday with tan leather on the Saturn lot. I have to say, despite the funky front end, the vehicle looks good. The interior is a nice step up over the Equinox. Haven't seen a Torrent yet, but I suspect it's much closer to Equinox interior wise.

GOOOO BUICK!
There is a blue '78 or '79 LeSabre S-Type coupe riding around my area. Black and chrome detailing, amber signals, Buick's black & chrome sport wheels... it's all there and still looking good.

2006 Silverados
No GM emblem on '06 Trailblazers, GMC Sierras, or Express vans either, from what I've seen.

What the hell is a valve coil?

Montana SV6 SWB
The short wheelbase van needs to be available here in the US as well.

Christian Rock...ugh
That's a very cool picture of the '69, but are my eyes bad? Does it really say "1978" on the front license plate? I watched the movie "Constantine" on my pc this afternoon. Very cool.

Karmann Ghias are cool. Thanks Northie. I try to proofread as I'm typing and I try to present a good readable post every time, but sometimes a guy really needs the edit function, for typos, and to complete a thought after the fact.

GOOOO BUICK!
I want Buick to return to market with a sporty trim level... sportier than "CXS" I mean...

8th gen civic
The car looks pregnant. The interior in these pictures is too weird. Did anyone buy the Prius because they thought it was good looking? I don't think so. They bought them because they fell for the inflated fuel economy numbers. Why would Honda think they could go all Jetsons with this thing? Long lost Honda slogan: "We Keep It Simple." And how will this dash go over with the ricer crowd? No more custom instrument clusters and no more aftermarket stereos, Honda has seen to that. This car further distances Honda from the grass roots tuners that made them big in the 90's. Cobalt is highly customizable, which should play in its favor.

I see a typo in my post above Harley's. Admins, give us an edit option please for posts that have been replied to.

Asians oversell horsepower
Advertised horsepower is at or near the top of the list of importance for bragging rights. Car enthusiasts remember and tout published horsepower ratings all the time. Car enthusiasts sell their less informed friends and family on vehicles all the time, and horsepower ratings are almost always mentioned. Toyota and Honda are guilty of fudging the facts, it seems to me.

Car Spotting
So, I went lot loitering this afternoon. The Ford dealership has an awesome '06 Mustang V6 with Pony Package. It's the one with the cool new grille, 17" rims off the GT, and other trim items. Titanium Gray with black... very goodlooking car, and should help sell a lot of six cylinder 'Stangs to guys. Only thing I don't care for is the spoiler... I prefer the clean, low, lightweight looking, stealthy deck of the spoilerless car. '06 WRX STi and '06 base Impreza sedan. The new front... actually looks good, imo. It's better proportioned than the Tribeca front ned, but even that is growing on me with its Swedish/Italian flavor. '06 Sierra extended cab, SHORTbed 4X4. I thought, after seeing the pics, it'd look dorky, but, I gotta admit, it doesn't look that much shorter then the 6' bed version. I really don't get the point... unless it is to eventually phase out the regular cab shortbed... which I dread. It's my favorite fullsize truck bodystyle. I had to stop and stare at the bright red G6 GTP six speed coupe again. Even though I prefer another color, this car with the polished 18s ROCKS. Their silver GTP sedan has a SOLD tag on it already. It's been there less than a week.

So you think you know 1st gen. Camaros, huh?
Yeah, I wasn't even going to make a fool of myself on this one. It's a bit confusing.

It's kinda neat that Sears still does siding and windows and such. I get a flyer in the mail from time to time.

The 1995 Grand Am GT 5spd
Does it tick mostly when it's cold? GM fuel injectors are known to tick when they pulse, and it is loudest when cold. Just a thought. It's normal, as far as I know.

Loitering at the Dealerships
Oh, duh, yup. The 11th grade picture was taken in 1981.

What Car is This?
My mom lived in a Craftsman bungalow for a while. It was a really nice house that just needed updating to be awesome. Very solid.

Loitering at the Dealerships
I'm just repeating what was said to me and a friend on Friday night. That old dude was scary! ;)

What Car is This?
Yes, I believe Allstate Insurance Co. was started by Sears & Roebuck, wasn't it? I remember reading about the rebadged Henry J, but I didn't know they did it earlier as well.

You kids get off my lawn! Damn kids! Can't you read? It says "NO LOITERING!" Now get out of here before I call the cops! Damn kids!

Back to school
I wouldn't mind taking a couple of creative writing classes to get the juices flowing again. I was heavy into it in college.
