I drive an '05, after owning a '97. I wasn't thrilled w/ the styling changes in the '05 year, but frankly, I think it's a better truck than the GenII/III's. Roomier interior, a bit more grunt, and I got used to the styling. Frankly, although the Frontier and Tacoma do offer more horses on their high-end V6's, I need the bed size for carrying my whitewater gear. The Dakota still fits my need better than the Taco or Nissan, although I think both are good trucks. The re-design looks okay to me, the added ponies are nice, and my '05 is off-lease in May of next year. If I can get a silver TRX trim with a sunroof, tow package and that new V8, I'm thinking I'll jump.
