  1. Now that would look great (with one kind of stripe or the other though). Not that I'm biased or anything. Seriously though, my favorite would have to be a Hugger Orange (more red than the 1999 Hugger Orange though) with white rallye stripes. Oh yeah.
  2. Yeah I know, I was attempting to be funny. Oh well.
  3. Nah, that's just the camoflage that the manufacturers use to hide their upcoming cars.
  4. From the article: "Interestingly, the Corvette Z06’s 505-horsepower (377 kw) output is actually more than the power produced by the race cars that will compete in the Daytona 500 – a first for a pace car. This is because of the unique “restrictor plate” rule established for the Daytona and Talladega , Ala. racetracks. On these 2.5-mile-long super speedways, the restrictor plate reduces airflow into the engine to limit horsepower and keep race car speeds below 200 mph. With a restrictor plate, racing engine power is reduced from about 750 horsepower to about 450 horsepower."
  5. Posted by wildcat: "Well, yeah, since they only have 4 vehicles that need to be advertised, it would be a no-brainer if Lucerne gets 1/4th of the ad budget. (Rainier will be dropped in '06 so it shouldn't be allocated a dime)." [Picard]THERE....ARE....FOUR.....VEHICLES!!![/Picard] :AH-HA_wink: Still, don't take it the wrong way. I'm glad you posted it anyway because it's funny to talk about. In the spirit of that: Ford spends 70% of their ad revenue talking about how great their quality is as they use as many cheap potentially defective parts to save less than a buck per vehicle.
  6. Thx for the compliments everyone. :CG_all:
  7. Thx, yeah, the Berger ZL1 (and some of their other ones) has some similar things going on - the black back panel (although those are flat black), the billet grille with a centered old-school logo and in the case of the ZL1, Z06 wheels. http://www.gmmginc.net/html/zl1_camaro.html I knew when I saw the back panel on those cars, I had to paint mine black.
  8. Yep, I did. :) My headlights are old and have a lot of bug marks on them though so I'm either going to get another OEM set and paint them again or get the black halos like you have (your car looks really good btw too). Actually I'd like to paint the mirrors as well. I'd much rather have them red. Thanks! The spoiler, it's been a while and I don't remember. Sorry. I got it from the Wings West website (www.wingswest.com) and a local installer painted it and I got my back panel painted and filled at the same time. I want to say they charged me $400 for that (both things). The majority of the cost was the filling in of the letters on the back panel. I'm not really happy with the quality of the job though on the spoiler. I have a different body shop now and I'm going to get them to repaint it (it currently has more orange peel than the rest of the car). Also it sits a little higher than the rest of the car and I'm not cool with that.
  9. No, it's not a manual. I didn't want one.
