  1. Agreed. I think the new Focus and B cars are going to be part of a slew of offerings all the way up to Cobalt/Jetta size with the Focus name used only for a hot hatch.

  4. If I may add to Blackviper's list "More on poor design cues used on the IS... -misaligned taillights -misplaced rear reflectors -huge mirrors -hatchback profile -weird fog/intakes -front-happy/rear-angry -misplaced GP=like kink -mismatched HVAC vents" - mismatched grille - trim reduction on 'melted' dash What's with this? NOTHING about that grille lines up - looks like it was stuck in from some other car. That dash looks like when it melted, the plastic flowed-over and obliterated any trim that should be there in front of the passenger. First the GS (overtrimed center stack/door panels and bland dash) and now the LS. pre-posting-edit: just noticed that the driver's door is practically a plain square in the pic - guess they're going with the-box-it-came-in theme for the sides (and had to make the doorhandles arrow-shaped so you'd know which way it's s'posed to go).
  5. Here ya go
  6. Totally agree! (just add the trunklid portion & block out the bottom). And for the GM too... which might just happen next year with its $100mil update.

  8. RJB, NICE post re: Corporate excess etc. Trevor, Even tho I've complained about "one dimensional images", I'm starting to think that all the brands (except Cadillac, they're fine) need a 'signature' car at the moment (Not the same as a 'Flagship') to embody what each brand is going to be. Pontiac - G6-size Rwd (sorry*) sport sedan AND (same platform, completely different body and name... ?Trans-Am?) coupe. Buick - youthful luxury... Riviera (ie fairly large) coupe-cabriolet hard'vert? Chevrolet - well from what we've heard, maybe the next Malibu will do it BUT maybe it should be something smaller? Like a completely redesigned Cobalt SEDAN. Ford has nothing in that 180" size (yet). A model that crams CamCord room/features into a car this size, that doesn't look like a coupe's afterthought, could re-arrange the best-sellers list. Saturn & Saab - I have no idea... other than someone better define them soon. Each new model/concept makes them more confusing. ps I guess it's possible that GM is trying to do this already. But this uncertainty means they aren't there yet. * although enthusiasts make up a small per cent of buyers, they influence many buyers.
