Dodge News: Dodge Charger Stages its Third Return as the First and Only Electric Muscle Car
Yeah, the Charger is still the standard w/ the Ohio Highway Patrol as far as I can tell...here in suburbia it's a mix of Chargers, Explorers, Tahoes and still some Tauruses and Caprices to be seen around metro CLE.

More, more, more Malibu (2023)
I like the current gen Malibu...I've rented a couple since 2017. The dearth of sedans from the traditional Big 3 is a sad state...I just can't get into the CUVs that the market is flooded with.

It is the ‘premium luxury’ trim. Only options on top of that are the ‘comfort and technology’ package with rear camera mirror, HUD, ventilated front seats, heated rear seat and the 20 inch wheels. Total on the original sticker was $66570. No Supercruise. @David Madrid sounds fun. How is the food? With my job the only place I travel to is Plano.

I've been to Myrtle Beach a couple times, but over 30 years ago. Never been to the Outer Banks either. My sister has spent the last 3 months in Myrtle Beach w/ trips to Savannah, Beaufort SC, other places on the SC coast along with a long weekend in Miami Beach. She thought the SC coast was wetter and colder this year than last year..she probably will winter in Miami next year for at least January-Feb.

Yep....treated myself to a new (to me) car today. Had been looking, did a few test drives of CT5s and CT6s, found this minty 2019 CT6 AWD w/ 54k miles at the Cadillac dealer in downtown CLE. Took a test drive, fell in love. Going to take it on my road trip to the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach next month. Hadn't really intended on getting another black car...but couldn't find one in red in the state.

Nice sunny Sunday. Went to the Cleveland Auto Show. Some highlights…saw thr Cybertruck. Bigger and uglier in person than in photos. I like the S650 Mustang, though still prefer the S550 styling. The Cadillac Escalade IQ is bigger in person than in photos. Love the Lyriq rear end. I love the C8 Corvette. Sat in the blue one. The red CT5 is really calling my name. There were classics on display also, took a bunch of pics of the ‘66 Toro for my sister. She wants one, she’s wanted one since it came out and she was 9. Relaxing now at Hofbrauhaus downtown. Time flies, can’t believe March 1 is coming up. (Quarterly stock grant time). And in unrelated good news, had my annual review and got a promotion to Staff Software Engineer.

I think I saw that an exec at M-B was commenting about future M-B EVs have to look like M-B cars and not look like jelly beans. I think they realize they went too far.

Good film...I've seen it a couple of times. One of the actors in it--the middle aged guy w/ glasses driving the Pontiac Grand Ville--was the same stunt driver that drove the black Dodge Charger in 1968's 'Bullitt'... Yeah, I can see that...with McLaren-inspired headlights.

Very interesting..I wonder also...last spring when we adopted two sibling puppies (and later a third) from a local breeder, we went to their house which was clean and spotless, the dogs beautiful....met the parent dogs and they were great, beautiful well-behaved Yorkies. The 3 pups are almost a year old now, need a grooming..got their long winter coats..here they are in my office last week under my desk along w/ senior Aussie terrier Raine.

It's too bad the US is so fixated on trucks, SUVs and CUVs..there are many wagons sold elsewhere that would be nice here...or wagon versions of US market sedans. I loved the looks of the CTS wagon 15 years ago, a modern CT5 wagon would be sweet...

Pictures!
We have had a very unusual, out-of-season sunny and mild first weekend for February here in Cleveland. Got my 5.0 out for a drive yesterday on some winding, twisty hilly roads in the woods nearby. I think it's first time I've driven it in February since 2002 in Colorado. Put in Pink Floyd 'The Division Bell' CD and then Depeche Mode 'Violator' CD and felt 25 again...;) Went to the beach this morning, Lake Erie so blue...40 and sunny. Washed my Jeep, looking good for 10 years old and 78k miles.

Chevrolet News:Chevrolet Gives the Equinox Fresh Looks for 2025
It will be interesting to compare this w/ the current one eventually. My sister loves her '23 LT, it has about 6k miles..she's had it a year now. I've driven it a fair bit, gets around just fine for a compact CUV, very comfortable on road trips.
