At the Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale Florida yesterday, Nissan unveiled the all-new 2020 Nissan Versa. Nissan packed technology usually reserved for higher end cars into the low-cost Versa including Nissan's Safety Shield 360. Safety Shield 360 includes: Nissan Intelligent Mobility that helps provide front, side and rear safety monitoring and intervention technologies. Standard safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection Rear Automatic Braking Lane Departure Warning High Beam Assist Available equipment includes Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Driver Alertness and Intelligent Cruise Control. The exterior has been refreshed to look like a smaller version of the Nissan Altima with Nissan's V-Motion grille and a rear floating roof. The interior has been greatly upgraded. Inside, Nissan took styling elements from the Nissan Maxima. Heated front seats, push button start, Automatic Climate Control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available. Under the hood is a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder producing 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque with either a CVT or 5-speed manual. No word yet on pricing, but the Nissan Versa is one of the least expensive vehicles available in the U.S.... that it packs this much technology into an inexpensive package will make it a killer value if Nissan can hold the line on pricing. GM has been teasing us for years about the possibility of a mid-engine Corvette. The confirmation of its existence came to light on Thursday when Corvette Chief Engineer and GM CEO Mary Barra took a spin in the camoflaged prototype through Times Square in NYC. The stunt was part of a promotion where GM will auction off the final C7 Corvette to benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a group that benefits fallen military members, first responders, and their families. All of the winning bid will go towards the foundation which builds mortgage-free, accessible homes for military members and first responders. .... er no... You're thinking the BLS. The 9-3 was built on the FWD Epsilon chassis. The CTS was build on the RWD Sigma chassis.

But a liner implies there is a steel or aluminum bed under there. There isn't. It's just carbon fiber.

You're both kinda right. But right now, I don't want the bother of the properties and I do want the cash. A third option is to cash out refi them and turn them over to a management company to run. I run all the day-to-day right now.

The rent pays for all of that expensive stuff.... but I get what you're saying. I'd like to have the cash right now and none of the bother of managing rentals.

I don't think they'll use this in the body panels. They'll probably go aluminum first.... I think the hood already is.

Well, it's also hand built and has all of the top possible packages that otherwise can't be mixed together today. So it really is an ultimate TLX. I saw a TLX coming at me the other day at dusk and it really does have a striking face with those headlights.

I just turned 40 last year. I do not love what I do... but the ironic thing is that they allow me so much flexibility and lately have given me so little responsibility, all while raising my salary... that it would be stupid for me to walk away. I basically can run this website while on company time and no one can tell the difference in my everyday work. But it is in no way challenging or interesting to me. If I did go get another job, something I know I could do fairly easily, it would mean that C&G would likely have to be neglected since William isn't around anymore to post articles. Choices. I have a potential job offer for something that would be high stress, but a lot of fun as a job... and I would get to remake a whole company (small business) in my own design. It would be a lot of work, but it would be damn fun. But it would also likely mean an abandonment of C&G, or at least a massive scaling back on what I post (no more daily news). I am staring at the edge of the water ....
