Volvo News: Frankfurt Motor Show: Volvo Concept Coupe
If I remember correctly SPA is going to be front-wheel/all-wheel drive. The Turbo/Supercharged Four powers the front and the electrics motors powers the back. Well that just SUCKS!! With this sharp looking concept and its dash to axle spacing I was hoping for a return to RWD for Volvo!---Oh well.

Cadillac News: Cadillac's Elmiraj Concept "Is Very Doable”
I would agree in part but having the ATS become the Series 50 would leave for to much room for Cadillac to do smaller FWD models that they truly should NOT BUILD!! ATS--Sedan-Series 20. ATS--Coupe-Series 22. SRX--Series 35. CTS--Sedan-Series 40. CTS--Coupe-Series 42. XTS--Sedan-Series 50. LTS--Sedan-Series 60. LTS--Coupe-Series 62. .

Cadillac News: Cadillac's Elmiraj Concept "Is Very Doable”
I would like to see the truly premium Cadillac models regain actual names while letting the lower to mid range models ATS and CTS keep their letter names at least for a while. Then over time before they are replaced using a concept showing the next gen styling direction they could name those concepts as replacements for the lower end models!

Chevrolet News:General Motors Ponders Whether To Add More Niche Models To The Silverado
Chevrolet needs to do a new Silverado SS using the LS7 V8 with a manual opt and GMC needs to do a new AWD Syclone based on the Sierra using a twin turbo LT1 V8 with more power then the Silverado SS at a higher price! Then GMC needs to do the as mentioned Sierra positioned above the Denali model to better split it from Chevrolet! Then let GMC do an off road version of the new Syclone to compete with the Raptor as well!

New York Auto Show: 2014 Buick Regal : Comments
So the Turbo and the GS will now use the same engine? And they will both be available with AWD also? What will seperate these two models I wonder? And the AWD system having a RWD bias could be a good hint that the next genoration Regal will be based on the Alpha platform and in turn return to a proper RWD model!

ATS-V Powertrain Predictions
It may not be as bad as you think. Sporty versions of big sedans do not really have to be ultra athletic. They just need to be refined and brawny -- think S63 AMG -- big, heavy, fast, stately, but not exactly an autocross contender. The XTS can use a V8 (the 6.2 LT1 will fit where the 3.6TT fits). I won't call it a V though, just the top rung XTS model -- XTS 6.2. How would that FWD biased AWD system in the XTS cope with the torque of the 6.2L or even the TT3.6L? Will GM change the axel bias to a RWD one to better handle that power? I still think the XTS was a mistake built as is and should have been built on a luxed up version of the ZETA LWB platform! Then the optional power would not be a problem!

ATS-V Powertrain Predictions
I would guess it will be the Turbo 3.6L V6 but I would hope it would be a supercharged version of the new gen 5.3L V8 to better go with the new gen supercharged 6.2L V8 coming for the new CTS V! If I were in charge at Cadillac I would keep all of the V models as a V8 only line of products!

Opel/Vauxhall News: Rumorpile: Next-Gen Opel/Vauxhall Insignia To Share Parts With Cadillac
I can see a place for the XTS model in the future Cadillac lineup. For those who want the spacious interior of the future large Cadillac but without the high price while wanting something less sporty then the next CTS model as well! All of those in the premium market dont want a sports sedan as much as they want a luxury sedan and the XTS could fill out this softer, less performance oriented mission very well!

Opel/Vauxhall News: Rumorpile: Next-Gen Opel/Vauxhall Insignia To Share Parts With Cadillac
I would guess and very much HOPE they are talking about Alpha and a RWD next generation Regal! Sized between the ATS and the next CTS would be ideal for a nice new RWD based Regal in Coupe,Conv,Sedan body styles!

Industry News: Bob Lutz: Plug-In Tech Is Better Suited For Larger Vehicles
He is correct! Its the large and less efficient models that need this tech more then the smaller and more efficient ones! I would have liked to have seen a larger RWD sedan model like say a true fullsize Buick Electra using the Voltech system were the cost of said system would be less important and impactful to the model! GM should have thought this out better I think!
