  3. do we have a moderator in this section?
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't every auto manufacturer had serious problems (like years long delays) trying to get their diesels past emissions?
  5. Maybe it's just me, but that paint looks really good.
  6. How about a G8 GXP? Not an LS1 Trans Am. $33k for a car that runs 13's is a good 'bang for your the buck'? What would you call a $41k car that runs 11's? A mind-blowing bang for buck ? Hint: 2008 Vette

I approve of this Corvette purchase
  8. Despite all of enzl's negative outlook, GM was the only major manufacturer to post a sales increase last month, not Toyota, not Honda, not Ford, not Chrysler, not Nissan. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/01/by-the-...s-january-2008/
  9. Without a doubt, 'The Wire' is the best drama ever produced for television. Also good choices I envy you, to be able and experience the thrills of season one for the first time, it's just fabulous. My wife and I were watching 3 full-hour episodes a night when we discovered 'The Wire'
  10. When will the embargo be lifted?
  11. I believe this is what is referred to as "turning the corner"
  12. As someone else stated, there is a very stong cult-following of the El Camino. There is a crowd out there that love that thing. still true to this day
  13. It's just bull$h! speculation.
  14. One of these in black: With a rowdy cam in it. I'm talking shake the pictures off the walls of houses rowdy. Here's what your power/torque curves would look like with an ls3:
  15. +1 I'll throw in some money
  16. I love the new Camaro as much as the next guy, but I don't know if I can take 15 more months of this hype. If this continues, there is no way the Camaro will be able to live up to expectations.

Without computers we wouldn't be able to make near the power that we are making today. Just think about how driveable cars with super-sized camshafts are compared to 30 years ago, or look how far forced induction technology has advanced; nitrous, turbos - none of that would be possible without computers
  18. Just out of curiousity, what would you consider a better deal than the g8?
  19. I wasn't around in beginning of the 20th century, but I plan to be around at the middle of the 21st. When oil has run its course, the price will be the same as when it started - pennies per gallon. I'm taking the long view here, looking way down the road. 100 years ago people said that motor-carriage racing wouldn't be as good as horse racing. The age of the electric sports car will soon begin. We're already at $3/gallon, and we'll probably be close to $4/gallon next summer- another $2 increase isn't that far away.
  20. 275 is the widest rear tire you can fit on a GTO without modifications.
  21. My point is that the higher the price of oil goes, the faster electric cars will develop. As this transition begins, the demand should decrease - lowering the price of gas significantly for the remaining internal combustion engines on the road. I'm hoping that in my lifetime cars that run on gasoline will be seen as 'indulgences' of an antique era. To answer your question; yes, people stuck with gas engines will be out of luck.
  22. I am also getting this error message, it sucks.
