Officially official: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze
I have to say it- I think I hate this car. It's the first big misstep Chevy's made since the latest round of vehicles (Malibu, Traverse) entered the lineup. The cheap black plastic on the C-pillar, the grab bag of vaguely European design elements that EVERY other manufacturer is using right now, the somewhat Elantra-ish look from the A-pillar back; this thing's a confused little mess. It probably would've reached near-Sebring levels of badness if they hadn't put such a bold, unique front clip on it. That's probably the only part of the car I really like. Unless they really nail the interior, and I'm talking class-leading, I can't see myself buying this. If there's going to be a coupe or a hatchback, I just hope it'll look better than the sedan.

Who wants to see the 2010 Lacrosse interior?
Smooth, elegant lines; excellent placement and dash integration of the center console; nicely detailed gauges; a variety of good materials.......looks like a winner to me.

Spied! Subaru's new RWD coupe
I like the actual spy shot. The car's proportions definitely bring to mind the old 3-Series hatch back. The rendering makes it look like a Hyundai Accent hatch on steroids, though. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what it looks like unmasked. A sub-$20,000 pricetag + RWD coupe = Me likey.

Mahrindra Appalachian coming to US in '09, diesel hybrid in '10.
An ugly, 4-cylinder pickup from a manufacturer with no build-quality reputation to go on? Mid-$20,000 range, you say? Count me in!

NEW FIT
The front end is definitely cartoonish, especially the oversized headlights. It's a clean, decent-looking design overall, though, and the improved interior looks nice. The current Fit is a class-leader in the segment; it handles great, gets excellent gas mileage, and has Honda build quality and reliability. I just wish the MSRP was lower; $1,000 more puts you in a Civic Coupe. It doesn't make much sense to me to have two cars in different segments priced so close together.

SPY SHOTS! 2008 Honda Accord sedan
The proportions and overall styling scream "1999." It looks more out-of-date than the car it's replacing, which is never a good sign. I respect Honda as a company, but their styling has been taking 6 steps backwards lately. Between this and the "Two different grills.....on the same car!" horror of the new CR-V, their new offerings have mostly been either bland or vaguely ugly. They really need to revamp their studios or something.

Sketch Competition #10 - GM Supercar
NOTE: Sorry for the really, really poor quality of the interior sketch. I did it in about 2 minutes. I'll try to post a better interior before the deadline. Don't hold up the contest waiting for it, though.

Nissan/Renault Alliance: GM Outgoing, FMC Incoming
A sample size of one isn't all that meaningful. I know someone who traded in a Toyota Camry for a Kia, but that doesn't mean Korea is taking over the entire auto market. Yet.

I was mostly kidding, but point taken.

Is Ford just junk ? Ford resorts to desperate
As a newly-graduated college student with barely any credit history, I wouldn't mind paying 0% on financing for a Ford Mustang GT. It's sad what's happening to the company, though. I'd much rather pay a higher rate and have a healthy American auto industry, rather than benefit from Ford's poor management.

I'm working on something, but it may not be done until tomorrow.

07 SEBRING pics - with interior
The Sebring's interior is bright, elegant, and just all-around pleasant to look at. Unfortunately. the Aura's interior is equally attractive, and it's much better looking on the outside. The Sebring's exterior is f'n hideous; it looks like they pasted 10-year-old Mercedes styling cues onto an oversized Saturn ION. That black graphic on the C-pillar is awful.
