IIHS: Roundabouts reduce gridlock and save fuel
Massachusetts has rotaries everywhere. They're great when there's no traffic because you can just coast through without waiting at a light, but they're hell in gridlock. People there seem to know how they work, which is about the only thing Massachusetts drivers are good at.

Toyota beating Ford in U.S. retail market
http://www.autonews.com/article.cms?articleId=55382 "GM's fleet sales generated 33.5 percent of its total October volume, up from 25.8 percent for the period a year earlier. Ford Motor's fleets also accounted for 33 percent of October sales, up from 24 percent a year earlier. Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. The better question is should the government bail out GM, and the answer is NO.- Top 10 2006 Fiascos?
Corvette Z06. :P Seriously though, I don't see the redesigned Explorer doing that well relative to how much Ford spent on it. I also don't think the Azera, Commander, R-class, Jetta, new Golf, or FJ-cruiser will do well either.- Mercedes pile-up at safety demonstration

I've noticed that GM has changed a few things in the Aura concept to make it closer to the production model. Here's the original concept, shown last winter, followed by the Aura on display at the SEMA show a couple of weeks ago: Original Modified The differences are slight, but they're there. For instance, the original had a digital display at the top of the stack, which has been replaced with a basic airbag indicator light: Additionally, the genuine titanium accents on the instrument panel have been replaced with a gray plastic:- Food For Thought
That's not really fair. The Si is the highest performance Civic, so you should compare its fuel economy to the Charger R/T or SRT-8. I'm sure the regular Civic gets much better economy than the Dodge. - Bold Moves at GM May Come With Kerkorian on Board
