I'll never understand the logic behind bashing the ES while praising GM's own attempts (i.e. Lucerne) at matching it.
  2. I'm aware that you're no fan of Lexus, but referring to the IS' interior as "horrid" is nothing short of a joke. These are real-life images taken straight from eBay.
  3. No, it's not. The ION is among GM's worst.
  4. I'm of the opinion that the Aura's exterior looks good. It's overall stance seems more solid and firmly-planted than the slightly awkward Vectra's. Don't let GM photography fool you, in person, the details are there. It's the interior quality that's a let down. In person it somehow seemed a step backward from GM's newer offerings like the Tahoe.
  5. 2.5-3 years? I knew the Aura would have a short life-cycle, but that's nearly half the industry average.
  6. Well, it doesn't get much (any?) worse than the Blazer in regards to crash test results.
  7. We can only hope.

  9. Congrats GMTG! She's gorgeous. You've had your eye on the Sky for as long as I can remember. I can only imagine how thrilled you must be to finally be getting it! Enjoy!
  10. Did you guys actually read the review? They simply stated that it's a "no-nonsense utilitarian hauler." Neither of them raved about it. In fact, both made several remarks about it's geeky styling and humdrum performance. I'm no fan of the Lienert's either, but this certainly isn't an instance in which they were unfair or biased.

Saturn isn't moving that far upmarket. Buick will remain slotted above Saturn in GM's heirarchy, and if all goes well, the next-generation of Buicks will compete with Lexus. Don't forget, Buick likely has a Zeta-based rear-driver in the pipeline. Saturn will remain all front-drive aside from the low-volume Sky. As Ven stated, the Enclave is a clear depiction of where Buick's aspirations lie. The Outlook, on the other hand, is aimed at an entirely different demographic.
  13. Let me know how many bodies are in the trunk.
  14. Unfortunately, the Aura's switchgear is of lower quality than most current GM cars. It was terrible in person.

  16. Domesticated, Please re-read CreativeVision's post(s). He's clearly stated that he's not looking for your opinion of the Avalon. Responses like your's are of no use to him, especially in the way you've presented your thoughts. Thank you.

Kind of like the enormous Jaguar ad at the Javitz Center that read "GORGEOUS LOVES FAST". Doesn't exactly make sense, but it makes you think.
  20. Sunfire leftovers? This is far worse than I'd expected.
  21. You'll See Soon enough.
  22. corvette_dude, I was at NYIAS today too! (for the second time this week) I too, sat in both the Aura and Sky. I have a full-feature article in the works, so stay tuned.
