I saw a 2010 Camaro for the first time yesterday. No badges whatsoever so i'm guessing it was bottom end base model.

I just read a story today on CNN that featured a dealership that was offering 40% on some of their vehicles. They said after June 9th whatever vehicles are left, they can no longer sell them and that Chrysler doesn't have to take them back. I've got a Channellock tool set and i've been extremely happy with it. I've had craftsman and still have craftsman but to me it's the same as other tool sets just with a big name. I like the Husky tools as this is what I used on a daily basis when I worked for the Home Depot and they were good as quality as anything else out there.

I haven't seen anything set in stone nor is it on Chevrolet's police vehicle site. But there are rumors that it is being discussed and with a price tag of 40K. Just be a standard SS model with automatic tranny. Probably have a more optimized computer program like the Police Interceptors.

I've had some guys pull out behind me and another car one night driving an old interceptor. They flew right up to the back bumper of that other car and rode their tail for a few minutes before switching lanes. I noticed them flying up to the back of my truck til they got bout 20ft away and then slowed down below the speed limit. I took my time turning at a stop light so I could see them go by but they waited til I was completely on the other road before going through the intersection. I forgot to mention my thin blue line sticker in the back glass didn't I ? Personally, I feel these cars should be stripped of everything. Including the Interceptor badge and spot light. That car dealer saying that he can get the badges just shows that he has no respect for the law. If it ain't a current patrol car, you do not need those badges. With all these police impersonations nowadays, i'm afraid citizens are going to get to complacent. I've had people pass my patrol car, with Interceptor badge and a state tag, and not think twice about slowing down. Getting sad really. Edit: BTW, I am the Ranger guy that would like another F body LOL Here are my police car picks:

My biggest pet peeve with it is those stupid little gm badges on the bottom of the fender under the Camaro badge. Hopefully they'll be removable. Other than that I truly love this car especially after seeing it in person. Cletus can tell you this says alot coming from a die hard Ford person.

I work part time at Advance so that is the only place i'll get anything. Discounts are great.

I can tell ya that most major police departments, state or county, are going away from FWD cars. SCHP experimented with Impalas and Intrepids several years ago and has now replaced them. As of now Ford has discontinued the Crown Vic and hasn't named a replacement. That leaves only Dodge in the running right now. A fully equipped Vic costs lil over $30K while a Hemi Charger is $29K. If this company can compete with those prices, i'm positive the only problem they'll have is keeping up with demand. My department's Impala's are 6 years old with less than 100K miles and they're already talking about replacing them. Course our state has bought one of these.
