"Lucerne ready to do battle in luxury field"
I think this article is way too sugary sweet. This is no luxury car, near, near luxury maybe.

Enough With the Autorags
carman, they already have Consumer's Reports magazine. That seems what you are wanting to create. I don't see a problem with magazines having a bias. Wherever there are human beings in any endeavor, there is always bias and opinion. You either agree or disagree. I have read in many magazines where they have criticized the Chrysler 300 and it's cheap interior, too low roofline. They have also trashed the Crossfire. Maybe you have a bias against magazines that seem to have a bias.

Last Place Again
Cadillac has been making cars for about a hundred years, there are no excuses for this interior that is no better than mainstream cars. This is supposed to be a luxury sports sedan. It fails. I derserves last place based on cheapness alone.

New Orleans police beat man severely
This is so old this nonsense of people whining about police force. Behave yourself, and stop resisting arrest and fighting back and this won't happen. I am in complete support of the officers. Stop siding with the criminals and side with those protecting you from these idiots.

Last Place Again
I was loitering at the dealership again. A Chevy Impala and Cadillac STS were near each other, the sun was shining bright into the interiors and dash. Both the two toned tan affair. I was amazed....the Impala interior was superior to the Cadillac. I know much has been discussed about the Caddy interiors, but it is inexcusable for cars in the luxury category to be this ordinary.

Honda Civic - 2006
I hate to say it, but I predict this new Civic will be hugely successful for Honda. They dared to take a few chances with the design, it looks fresh, new...makes other new models look dated already. Finally an automaker is bringing some fresh thinking to the interior and dash. The Cobalt in comparison is safe and predictable...not bad but not modern. GM used to be that way...innovative in design. Others are taking that on, I am sad to day.

Oldsmobile
Some random Oldsmobile thoughts from HarleyEarl: 1. Ever notice the front ends of earlier Saturns and the Vue...they have some Olds elements. Makes you wonder if that was intentional and they knew long ago of Olds demise. 2. Squint your eyes while looking at the Saturn logo...and remember the last Olds logo....very similar. Huh?...makes you wonder? 3. Oldsmobile for many years had the Rocket image in their logo and the famous V8....Saturn, planet...outerspace, rockets...see the connection?..huh? 4. Last great Oldsmobile, the Aurora....next great Saturn, the Aura...see the connection?....feelin' it? 5. Saturn Sky......Olds Rocket shooting up into the Sky...see? 6. Saturn Vue....viewing the Olds Rocket shooting up into the sky.... 7. Now, Saturn in moving into a new phase, an 'Oldsmobile' phase if you will. It will be become the defacto Oldsmobile division. When you see a V8 in a larger Saturn, the process will become complete. I think this was planned long ago. ....crap, I'm rambling now..stop me. just a stream of thought that overtook me...who knows I may add more interconnections of the interplanetary type.

2006 Honda Civic Coupe pics
It's so refreshing to see a carmaker resist the big headlight look that is so common now. Previous Civics tried the wide eyed look and they came to their senses. Looks so much better.

PiMPeD OuT RiVieRaS
Thanks Zoomtm for hilighting this great looking Riviera. It looks especially good with large chromy wheels. I forgot what a stunner this car really is. Beautifully styled. It may be the last Buick that was actually styled.

TCC unveils Yukon and Yukon Denali early!
Exactly and Chevy and GM have never been radical with their trucks. They have always been sharp, clean designs. That is the Chevy/GMC look.

score one for the general
In just looks alone the Solstice wins. The MX-5 has that odd Japanese look to it...especially the front end. Definitely not an improvement over the previous model.

Reviewing the '06's
I think the Corvette makes a great case for a performance, rwd car that gets very good gas mileage relative to the car...so it can be done. In my ideal world all Chevys would be rwd. Thanks Blu and Knight for the excellent points about fwd vs rwd.

TCC unveils Yukon and Yukon Denali early!
I like this in everyway....much better than the Chevy and way better than the previous generation. It looks more finished, tailored, upmarket. It may outshine Escalade. GMC, job well done!

Toronado R&D History
So much fun. What a milestone that car was!....when GM was king of everything.
-
Reviewing the '06's
I'm just curious, a directly comparable car with rwd, would it have the same mpg as a fwd?.....because wasn't that part of the reason for the shift to fwd, mpg and better space for interiors?...Maybe GM will be a genius for sticking with fwd cars generally.

streach jobs, ey ?
I like Barris, not necessarly all his cars, but his attitude. He never took cars seriously, they are fun conveyances...I thank him for that.

Grading the Revolution
Chevy as passed the revolution test very well. They are a healthy brand. To me the weakest spot has been the Malibu...just too odd for my tastes.

The Magazines
Almost any magazaine I read views the GM trucks very highly. The biggest gripes has been the interior/dash and the competition was getting ahead. Those are many GM fans gripes as well.

what make..
Porsches are huge here....they are everywhere. They are so common, almost boring. That's the highend. Otherwise, a mix...but big luxury suvs and pickups are king. The Accord and Civic are very common as well.

2006(?) Chevrolet Epica
I agree, the I don't see the need for Epica in Canada, Chevy's array of models in Canada is almost confusing...plus Pontiac has so many as well.

Which name do you prefer?
How about Pontiac Grand Banshee GT?
-
2006 Mitsubishi 380
I'm not a fan of this car at all...only because it's so plain....but it doesn't come across as ugly. Sometimes the Gallant can look quite cool:

Kia
I agree about the French doing some good design....sometimes their cars can appear odd..because they tend to stretch the envelope more than most. French design is rarely bland or boring....often polarized opinions result.

Failure of General Motors PR
You can have all the best products in the world, but if you don't inform people about them...they will just sit there or get stuck in a certain customer base. And not only informing, but presenting them in a way that compels people to take notice...present an image that the customer wants to assume. GM has failed miserably at this...and they used to be the master of marketing their cars and trucks.
