  1. Someone on another forum pointed out that they measure the power in gross horsepower unlike we do here. It looks like it has more horsepower and torque but it really is the same. I don't know if he is right or not though.
  2. Nice find! There are rumors that for 2008 the 5.3 will be upgraded to about 355 hp and about 370 ft-lbs of torque. If I am thinking right. 505 Nm is about 372 ft lbs. This makes me happy!
  3. Bigger brakes mean bigger wheels are necessary. On the new 900 trucks, the smallest wheel that will fit is a 17" I think
  4. The EZ-lift gate involves a torsion bar to assist. Not electric. I believe it is also on the avalanche.

Ahhh, I just noticed that it was not a 1500 after you said that.
  6. How would you go about touring a plant? Do you just show up, or do you need to make an appointment of some type first? I have always wanted to visit the arlington, TX plant.

    I was bored also
  8. Was the grill uncovered? If it was how did it look? was it color matched?
  9. Just remember that the interior shown is the "work truck" dash. The upper level dash is going to be the same interior, or very similiar, as the suv's.
  10. The trucks were originaly supposed to start with the six-speeds. Because the trucks production was pushed so far forward, they do not have enough six speeds available. Many insiders are saying that they will deffinately have them for the 2008 model. Evidently across the whole 900 platform. They have increased the six speed production already but with as many tahoes, yukons, sierras, and silverados that are made, they do not have enough to put them into every one for this year model.
  11. I dont know that for sure but I have read it and it looks the same on the extended cab with the doors open. It may vary a little bit like you say, but overall I think it is the same style.
  12. The top of the line models have the same interiors as the suv's
  13. I like the little Z71 badge on the gauges
  14. Anything else you can share with us without getting into trouble?
  15. It is a 2007. For 2007 there is no change from 2006. 2007 MY or 2008 is when the new designs are going to come out. That is just the current design
  16. Ill make it easier on everyone :

Beleive it or not but I think that it will have better ground clearance than the current silverado. The new tahoe has better ground clearance than the previous one but the front facia makes it look a lot lower.

And believe it or not the new tahoe has a ground clearance of 10.5" in the front. The design just makes it seem a lot lower.

I also think that they are required to be low for safety of other vehicles and people. It looks low but it is probably the same height as the current silverados
  20. LONG LIVE THE V8!!!
  21. I have seen about 30 tahoes, 2 escalades, 3 suburbans, and 3 yukons. All of these were this month only. I had not seen any of them and then they just started poping up everywhere around me.
  22. This is believed to be a bad batch of yukons. Many dealers have gone out to look at their denalis and they have no such problems.
  23. Wow you place the whole design of the truck on one aspect such as real or fake wood. That is lame These new trucks are going to look awesome. If you dont like the trim pieces on the interior just replace them with something from the aftermarket or get the interior that does not have the wood.
