  1. This is the same thing I found when looking for our Solstice GXP. I live in Ohio and could not find a GXP that was not completely loaded. I did not want to spend $2500 - $3500 more for things I did not want or need. After searching for a while, we ended up finding our car in PA. Dealer was great, no added mark-up and no added fluff. My GXP has only 4 options, and that is enough for me. The sticker was 29,990.00. I agree with the quoted post, seems like the dealers have something hot now and have to get as much profit as possible. Oh well, at least we have our little monster now, could not be happier. This little car rocks.
  2. Nice. That looks right on.
  3. Wow BlackViper, I didn't realize you were such a Pontiac Freak, Thats GREAT!
  4. Croc, I know there are performace vehicles within GM. I also know that there are not many performance vehicles within GM that are affordable for the average income person. Besides the C6, V-series and GTO, it's hard for me to get too excited. I know the S/C Colbolt is a good one, not much more comes to mind. ( please don't even mention the waste of money SSR ). I am not a $550 a month car payment person, too many other things in life to pay for. Now, could I get excited about a S/C or turbo Solstice, depends on price. They need to make more affordable performance cars. My performance car does not need leather, power drivers/passenger seats, esc and all that crap. My performance car needs to accelerate, handle and brake very well, thats what makes a performance car. Gm needs a few cars in the line up that get back to basics, performance cars, as in the past.

[quote name='VenSeattle' date='Oct 3 2005, 12:34 PM'] Guys... Chevrolet is NOT a "premium" mainstream brand. Chevrolet is a mainstream (catch-all) brand. Chevrolet has some exceptional niche vehicles to spice up its average line-up: SSR, HHR, Corvette, SS-trim, etc... etc... Hold on for a minute. You can honestly say that the SSR and Malibu/Maxx are exceptional niche vehicles? The SSR is a waste of R&D money and the Malibu/Maxx are a slap in the face to the SS badge.
  6. DETROIT -- General Motors is shuffling top management in its performance division as it pushes to reorganize product development on a global scale General Motors has a performance division? When did this start?

Just put the picture in my Kodak photo shop. Adjusted the lighting and contrast. Compared to the auto show picture of the Lucerne, it is spot on. The car in the commercial is definately the new Buick Lucerne.
