Automobile Exhaust Sounds
I like the exhaust note on my dad's 02 Grand Prix GT. Not exactly a heart-stopper, but it stands out from the crowd.

People From C&G You Want To Meet
I'd like to meet aaaantoine, cause I hear he's awesome. :P Seriously, if I met any one of the regulars on this board, that would be cool.

Hemi BBQ & Other Stuff
My theory: it's projecting the flames towards the grille. Excessive? Yes. But this man can honestly say he has the "fastest" BBQ grille on the block. :P

5th Gen. Camaro Rice
I love the shape of that rear fender.

What Computer You Runnin' On?
Custom-built desktop PC. - P4 2.4GHz - 1 GB 400MHZ DDR RAM - nVidia ti4200 w/ 128mb RAM - combined 200 GB HD storage - 5.1 speakers - Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value sound card - 19" Dell LCD display - DVD+/-RW drive. It's about due for a video upgrade. Processor can go another couple years. At that point I'll probably build an all-new system based on the Shuttle "barebones" system design (much smaller PC case).

Anybody see any 2006 MAlibus yet?
I saw one. Upstate. Takes a while for new American cars to trickle in on LI.

SRX is raining glass
If anyone is willing to summarize, how is this different from the Scion tC issue?

High Performance
For me, the most important aspect of a car is how well it handles in the 60-80 mph range or on tight curves. Long Islanders, if you ever get the chance, go out on the Southern State Parkway on a quiet night. B)

Quickie Review- Pontiac G6 GTP coupe
My biggest problem with the rear is its similarity to the Toyota Solara... ...which in turn is an offshoot of the Lexus SC430. But at least when Toyota ripped off Lexus, the influence came from within the design studio.

Pontiac should use the Legacy platform
I think GM wants to go in the opposite direction by having as many cars as possible on as few platforms as possible. They'd probably go as far as to put next-gen Subaru cars on Epsilon II if they had that much control over Subaru. With the Malibu Maxx and Opel ... whatever it's called, GM has proven that the platform is flexible enough to support hatchbacks. We've also seen it support coupes and convertibles. Also - though I'm not sure where I read this - Epsilon II will supposedly be built with AWD in mind. I'm not against Pontiac having a midsize 5-door, though.

MICROSOFT
Well in that case it's time for me to buy up some stocks. But beyond that, what can we do as citizens of a free nation that is slowly losing its freedom? This is not a hypothetical question. I mean it: what are we supposed to do? I can think of a number of responses, but in the end, very little of this is in our control.

WT - what car?
The first thing I think of is my aunt's old Monte Carlo (80s model).

Hummer or Smart
Psst... I think he was being serious... :P

Past Concepts/Design Proposals/Prototypes
I would love to see this vehicle on the road as a super fuel-efficient two-seater. Too bad GM has to adhere to US safety standards...

2006 Cadillac SRX
The wood does quite a bit to improve the overall look of the center stack. I loved the interior when I first drove the CTS. I'm a bigger fan of the STS's interior now.

Solstice commands thousands over sticker
Just goes to show you... GM was far too modest with their initial projections. Maybe they were intentionally modest.

A "Cobalt Pride" Moment
Sweet. I was out Saturday evening and saw a Cobalt with custom ~20-inch Aura-esque rims. Surprisingly, they did a lot to make the car look even better.

3100 V6 Longevity
Isn't that the old A-body? I dunno... I know someone who is the 4th or 5th owner of a horribly dilapidated 95 Century. I'm sure if you take good care of it, you can continue to run it for a long time to come... But I've seen this thing, and couldn't even believe it was a 95 model.

3100 V6 Longevity
We have an Olds Achieva with over 150,000 miles on its 3100 power plant. It's seen better days, sure, but it still runs good.

USA Today: Impala glimmers with competence
Actually, since you bring up the fact that the trunk can't be opened without battery power... I want to raise the issue that if someone's battery dies, they'll have difficulty accessing the trunk if they don't have a physical key. I know even dead batteries often have enough juice to move a trunk latch, but maybe you want to recharge the battery and the jumper cables are *smacks forehead* IN THE TRUNK! ...Ahh, I'm forgetting about the fold-down rear seats. Heh... Still something to think about.
