I'm not sure what to think of this whole thing. On one hand, I am thinking, sweet this car is going to have a retro hood scoop, then on the other hand I'm thinking why didn't I think of this? If a private citizen took a production car and added $100 worth of garbage bags and foam and drove it around Detroit looking for attention to see who would publish it, it would be hilarious. An auto website still makes it funny but not as cool. In the end, I guess it really all comes back to that age old question of "Should you really believe what you see on the Internet?" I believe the answer will permanently be "no", no matter what the "source".

As someone who almost never posts here, I just look in from the outside and have to laugh at this whole situation of people getting pissed off. As I see it, it all boils down to this: -Its a website that people voluntarily join/click -People express their opinions. Opinions offend people. That's the nature of life. Some may be hateful, mean, personal, etc but (in my opinion) should never be censored. Having said that, this website is owned by someone. That person can dictate his/her will on whoever/whatever is posted. Oh well, that's life. You're not going to change that, unless you want to buy this site. A website should not so entrenched in your life that a remark made by somebody disrupts your life in negative way. Its not your spouse constantly saying these things to you in your home on a daily basis, making you life miserable. Its not a coworker harassing you, making your work life impossible. Its not your friends telling you this every weekend at the bar. Hell, its not even a total stranger coming up to you on the street and yelling it in your face. All those situations are ones that are out of your control. This place is in your control. Its a bunch of 1's and 0's stored on a server. That's it. People are always going to think what they want. A message board reply isn't going to change their way of thinking, no matter how much you want it to. Move on with life...

Yeah, funny how that works. If they had sent out reg and ext cab brochures, this thread would be "I got ext and reg cab pictures, but I can't buy them yet! Damn GM, what's wrong with you!".
