The new production-spec Honda Pilot out
I would rebut this by saying I would never be caught dead in the ______ Aztek, but the fact of the matter is I'm not that biased and if there was some reason I needed an Aztek I would drive one.

The new production-spec Honda Pilot out
It wasn't tough enough for the CR-V? So far it seems exactly the same as far as reactions from TOV people and from magazines. (and of course here)

Suddenly Cobalt Beats its Competition (www.Autosavant.net)
The information is very confusing. Is it just the 1LT Cobalt Sedan which loses a manual-transmission option? Or all sedans? Will the 2LT and Sport Cobalts with manual transmission not get the XFE treatment?

The new production-spec Honda Pilot out
Then what's the point? You're obviously going to hate it regardless of what it is. Why so closed-minded? I disagree. The old Pilot post-MMC is alright looking, but is very soft and reminds me of a minivan. The new one is an improvement, and I have actually started to like the design. So because the design does not visually appeal to you, that automatically means it will only sell because of the brand? Why do so many people jump to this reasoning so quickly? I don't suppose the Pilot will sell because of its functionality. Must be the H! :AH-HA_wink: You do realize that the Element is a purpose built vehicle (like the Aztek), and should never be lumped into the same category as the trendy xD (although it seems to be thrown in there quite often, which shows how little most people know about it). The Element is a no non-sense vehicle, perfect for outdoor activities. I've actually wanted one for a while now for camping, snowboarding, airsofting, and many other things, especially since the head lights are now more normal looking on the SC model. The only problem is Honda doesn't offer AWD on the SC model, only the base model with the goofy head lights (damn!).

LA Times' Dan Neil bumped from NBC Gear
Adam Carolla gets a big thumbs up from me. But I probably wouldn't watch the show anyway.

Wanna win a 1998 SAAB 900S?
"Hey neighbor, want to buy my Saab for $50? All I have to do is get 99 chums to send me $50 thinking they have a chance at winning it." "Sure!"

The new production-spec Honda Pilot out
Most new vehicles aren't innovative. And we don't know enough about the new Pilot to make any judgments as far as that is concerned. It is fine looking, just awkward and goofy to us as was the CR-V and Civic when they came out. Where do you guys get your market data? I am interested to know what professions drive what cars and their age ranges as well. I assume there is a comprehensive survey that gathers data from every new car purchase and gives the new owner's information in a large database somewhere on the Internet.

The new production-spec Honda Pilot out
The CR-V came out and was blasted to Mars and back for its goofy styling. Yet it was an incredible sales success. This vehicle follows a similar formula. The front end is nothing but goofy and I think that will be a hit with many buyers. The sides are where Honda has not done the best job, as it hits the SUV styling on the head but doesn't do anything special to prevent the styling from aging quickly. It is functional, however I think some styling details would go a long ways to give it character (imagine the CR-V without the back window swooping down). If anything, this vehicle will sell because of its functionality.

The comparison to the Aztek is funny. The only vehicle so far that has come close was the first B9. The Pilot is goofy looking, but not grotesque like an Aztek. :AH-HA_wink:

The nose looks goofy. Otherwise it is fairly bland. I like the rear, the little angle on the tail lights gives it some character.

Best and Worst Used Cars
I certainly hope they didn't pay any of their employees very much to put together this list. I could have done it in less than 5 min. Put all Honda/Toyota on best, all GM on worst. Roll dice for each Nissan model. Odd number goes on best list, even number goes on worst list. Done. ... Analyze data? What data? I'm not paid to analyze data.

TRUCK DESIGN 101
It looks like a normal freight hauler to me. No more an eyesore than any of the others.

CNN / Money rips ASTRA
No one needs anything really, including cars. How much of a convenience cup holders are will vary from person to person. Given it is a design feature that certainly doesn't cost much, and doesn't have a negative impact on the interior as long as it is designed well, there is no reason not to include at least one cup holder per occupant. Wouldn't that seem logical?

08 ACCORD EX test drive
I haven't driven a new Accord yet, but I did go and sit in a couple and looked them over really good. I'm not sure where your qualms about the interior are coming from, I loved it. Perhaps it is too techno for some people's tastes. I've been seeing a lot more Accord's on the road, mostly sedans. I can say with no reservations that I really have grown to like the exterior, especially in the dark metallic color and blue. The head light bulge and the grille are still the two things that throw me off a bit, but otherwise I like the design.

Game on for the 300 HP Solstice in 09
The race motors might give the engineers valuable experience in that respect; but regardless of how many stock parts are used, those race motors are likely rebuilt between each event, and the production motors need to last thousands of, if not a million, miles. The Evo has been doing similar output for many many years now, it shouldn't be an issue for GM to make a reliable 2.0L 300hp motor. The biggest hurdle will be shaping the powerband into something livable and eliminating turbo lag.

G8: Good To Go Fast
They're really trying to position this car as a BMW. It might have the performance, but is the interior quality there and are the luxury features up to the task? It seems to me like it's more of a 4-door Camaro, or 4-door GTO, not anything like a BMW 5-series. G8 is car. Car have wheel. Caveman invent wheel. Ooo ooo. Me hungry.

The new Accord is selling with zero incentives apparently.

March 2008 Sales: General Motors
Nice to see GM finally make a comeback with the new Malibu. It's surprising though, both Accord and Camry sales are up slightly (36k and 40k respectively). Ford/Chrysler must be taking the losses, or Cobalt buyers are deciding on the Malibu instead.

Riight. Sync must be killing the Corolla too. Yes, one non-deal-breaking feature is the reason! :AH-HA_wink:
