Sexual Preference
No offense meant, funkypunnk, but in the words of Deep Cover's John Hull, yoooooooou shouldn't have done that!! I'd just let it go, and let everyone of any sexual orientation do them....and I'll keep my stronger views and takes to myself, as that's not 3hat I'm here for. This building was full of neighbors when I moved in, so the tone's set.

LA Auto Show meet update
So who all is in, and if the breakfast is on, where are we going? Guys?

Sexual Preference
I have to wonder if the gays on this site outnumber us hets*. *Ask where I got the term from, and I'll explain it.

LA Auto Show meet update
I stopped just short of suggesting it, because it's too popular...lines out the door at all times of day. It's up to OC and turbo, I guess....since breakfast was their idea and all... You coming to the meet, tmp? Hey, gang, let's lock the details in by Tuesday night. Friday the 13th, and I'm down with breakfast before that...what about the rest of you?

LA Auto Show meet update
With Detroit finally opening, I like our chances to see a lot more on the day we go. Switching gears slightly, do you guys like the idea of our show now moving to November? If we can get more debuts as a result, I'm fine with that. But while we've moved out of Detroit's way, what about Tokyo, Paris, Geneva, and such?

Chrysler Imperial
The peeks on the news don't look half-bad. As far as Chrysler badging/modeling, I do think the car should get the Riviera/Thunderbird treatment, with no Chrysler first-place ribbons anywhere on it.

2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV
LosAngeles replied to avant1963's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Anyone else left cold by an Envoy XL vibe off of this thing (especially by the rear doors)? All that being said, it should find its way in this now-SUV-detestant (is that a word?) market...

Lexus Reveals 2007 LS 460
All ciritcisms from here and greatness-of-Toyota banter from the press aside, this thing is quite cool...looks like a winner to me.

LA Auto Show meet update
Well, on Pico, there's CJ's east of Fairfax, I think, and Nick's, west of La Cienega. I'm mad Jack's Family Kitchen on Western closed down; they used to have pretty damn good biscuits. So it's whatever with me....OC and turbo can speak up on what they know...and what about Nick?

Car Spotting
No one complained about the 71 Mustang/Couar's flying buttresses, as front-engined as those cars are. The XJS was always kinda cool to me, but was simply never handled properly by Jaguar or any owner. The V-12 and that chassis and body deserved much better.

Car Spotting
SolsticeS The -i plurality is for words that end in -us. As far as what I REMEMBER seeing last week: -An old 75 8-window Caprice Classic 4-door -TONS of Range Rover Sports (that thing has really taken off) -Aston Martin DB7 -quite a few old-school Minis -International Scout -Mid 60s Galaxie 500 4-door -69 Fairlane 4-door -early 70s Mercury Cyclone

LA Auto Show meet update
I would suggest some mom and pops around my way that I like, but while the food is good, I don't know you guys' "tolerance" (if you get my drift). I'm good with IHOP with the all-you-can-eat pancakes, as I've been thinking on those since they started advertising them. I need to get my bars up on breakfast spots....after 11am, I have a billion ideas, but in the morning, I'm pretty simple if I eat at all. Edited to note my newly minted GXP status.

What place were you guys talking about eating at?

LA Auto Show meet update
That was the whole point. Took someone long enough to acknowledge it.

LA Auto Show meet update
Being only blocks away from a spot (where you can leave your car at home) is a great thing....don't sleep.

Cheap Refreshments
As bad as soda is in general, diet sodas are truly awful. I can't fade the obvious "fake sugar" taste in them all.... I like drinks that have a nice clean, unregrettable chug to them.

LA Auto Show meet update
You mean west of the freeway? I don't know about getting shot, but they sure have a thing for breaking in cars out that way.
-
LA Auto Show meet update
OK, where are you bastards getting these free tickets and why are you not breaking the crew off? And Nick, read upthread....I'm down with that day and time if that's the consensus.

Cheap Refreshments
On ice, drinks like mango Tampico or Rockview fruit punch do me well with my meal. 99 cents a gallon. Or instead of going after those skunky Heinekens, I'm quite alright with a crispy cold with a 32 of Miller High Life. The Champagne of Beers!! Only $1.50. You guys can keep the pricey stuff. Or appreciate right along with me. I can buy more expensive stuff...but why, when I actually LIKE these things?

LA Auto Show meet update
Where's folks talking about eating at? Maybe I can alter that course, depending on tastes.

Why men love Jeeps
What kinda peeping Tom filmed this?

LA Auto Show meet update
Sorry if a similar post is already up, but I need to know. What day are we all settled on, what time do we plan on meeting, exactly what spot? I think we should determine it by what day Detroit starts for the general public. But I have a feeling it's after LA is all done this year. Who has that info?

Even though it looks like a Peugeot 309, this might have done something.

Nov. MT says Solstice to get V8
The all-controlling Corvette team will never sign off on that.

Pontiac Solstice Club Racer
I don't see much wrong with the spoiler...seems more purposeful to me, not simply there for show (unlike the wing on the Cobalt SS: even though the factory put it there, the car isn't that aggressive). But there's nothing "club racer" about suede dashes or honey gold paint.
