I think it's actually three years, but yes it makes a difference. I was brought up on music, and I remember when Milli Vanilli was big, and I remember when they made history by having their Grammy revoked. Everyone was talking about it. I was in Kindergarten when it happened.

The Rendezvous name needs to stay. I really REALLY hope they reconsider. I have a feeling they will get some feedback at the shows...

You are the only one saying reliability. Everyone else is saying quality. Quality includes engineering. A poorly-engineered car is not a quality product. I'm not saying this makes the whole car poorly-engineered, but it IS a quality issue no matter how you spin it.

I don't think you read a word of what I said. It wouldn't work and would cheapen and devalue every applicable brand. Just no.
  5. Croc replied to andy82471's topic in Toyota
Yes, second-rate engineering. That's still a quality issue no matter how you want to spin it.

Because you are too young to remember Milli Vanilli

Basically, take a CTS and graft the rear 3/4 of this pic: The CTS decklid isn't quite as high...maybe 75% of the Imaj. The windshield is therefore bigger. Rear overhang is obviously greater than Imaj, too. Do this graft and thats the general idea of it.

Well BV, you'll be surprised when you see the exterior.

Honestly, I'd send them except I know that every one of you would send them at least once. Soon, it's all over the net and GM gets pissed and wants to track it all down. Guess what? I'm not going there. Someone put trust in me not to pass it on and I am not going to break that trust. Has nothing to do with "cool kids club" or anything fun like that. Just trust. The last time I trusted someone on this board to NOT pass something on, they couldn't do it and it bit me in the ass.

    ESPECIALLY the DTS
  12. Croc replied to jlbunting's topic in Cadillac
no, it looks nothing like the DTS interior. The center stack and IP is somewhat similar to the current RX330. Dash design is very symmetrical, like a Lexus or Toyota. Oh, and the plastic is silver, again like a Lexus or Toyota. It's nice. As for the exterior...Front is very similar to the current CTS, and there is a lot of sheetmetal above the rear wheels. VERY muscular, powerful stance, like a cat ready to pounce. Rear decklid is crazy short...almost Imaj-short. Spoiler is well-integrated. Rear is combo of CTS and STS. Very nice. Sail panels are large. Rear quarter panels are cleaned up compared to the current version (no unnecessary number of lines). There it is in words, and if this post needs deleting by the mods, go for it.

The Hyundaization of Buick is almost complete...
  14. Yea that's not it.

All I know is I can get discounts from Catie. Thanks for the tip, but I just use the eye baggie gel...it works, so I have no need to switch or anything.

My friend is a Mary Kay rep. Mary Kay rocks...great under-eye bag gel.
  17. Solstice does't have an ashtray? That's where I put my cellphone, and then the charger is conveniently in the auxilary right where the lighter is, next to the cell phone.
  18. Yea, some posters here are a broken record and just post for the sake of posting without adding any meaningful insight. Completely unlike this post. This post is extremely insightful, and as a result of reading it, you have a great understanding of not only the Chevrolet Equinox, but also of the entire auto industry as it pertains to North America. Pretty impressive, eh?
  19. It was axed due to slow sales. It was very overpriced for what it was. Plus, the early 90s GM was on the brink of bankruptcy.

I don't think so...a lot of people out here in California use them. Do you think "older" people on scooters or rollerblades is odd? I think anything that is fun, exercise, and transportation can be acceptable for all ages. Tony Hawk isn't a teenager...

Fly: Yes, my comments were directed at the Mensa-approved tests. They generally score the top two percent as 132 or higher.
  22. Croc replied to jlbunting's topic in Cadillac
100% correct. Interior is VERY nice, though I wish the pillowy seats from the CGIs would be replaced with the current seats as they are far more sporting and in line with what Germany has to offer. Sofa seats belong in Fleetwoods and Devilles, not CTSs.

Ummm a standard IQ test has the scores set with a mean of 100, and the top 2% most usually is 132 or higher. Yes, IQ can vary slightly depending on the exact test taken and other environmental factors, but most approved tests are as described. Now Fly, check out Mensa's website regarding the approved tests. They do this to make sure the tests will all yield the same general ranges of scores. I am not aware if Mensa has approved any non-IQ intelligent tests, but I do know that they do approve many IQ-based ones.

Chi? That would be much less than desireable.
  25. BMW claims their cars are the "ultimate driving machines" and that implies they are for enthusiast drivers. Typically enthusiast drivers care about their cars, and it therefore seems quite ironic that something as essential as an oil dipstick is not present in a "driver's car." Get it?
