  1. Honda to Build $500m Indiana Plant Honda today announced plans to build a $550 million automobile plant on a 1,700-acre tract in Decatur County, Indiana, near Greensburg, 50 miles southeast of Indianapolis. 2. This seems like a good place to remind people of this thread about the User Ignore Feature (also see sig): http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...?showtopic=7601
  3. Why was the very last Olds to be built an Alero, the bottom rung in the Olds ladder? Why not end it with the best, the flagship 4.0 Aurora?
  4. Edmunds Drives the Compass It should be noted as a general rule, I try to find the best picture of a car to use when I post a news entry. This was quite a task with the Compass because it is in my opinion, the worst-looking SUV since the Aztek (yes, it has dethroned the X3). This is about the only image where the thing doesn't look completely pug-fugly. I could wax lyrical about the Compass' looks all day but of course, you clicked this thread to read Edmunds' take on it, not mine. So without further rambling, here you go: Read "First Drive: 2007 Jeep Compass" @ Edmunds Damn, what an ugly car...
  5. Spied: 2007 Acura MDX Meet the coming replacement for the old and tired current MDX. The new MDX is styled similarly to the RDX, just like the new X5 is styled after the X3 (though in Acura's case, the result doesn't look to be as bad). The interior is very much like the RL's. 6. Just seems to be a normal retirement decision (i.e. no particular reason behind it).
  7. I know what you mean. Those two I-350 sales and that Ascender sale last month really hurt Chevy and GMC.
  8. Toyota Boss Steps Down Toyota Motor Corp. Chairman Hiroshi Okuda left the helm of the No. 1 Japanese automaker Friday after holding the posts of president and chairman for 11 years. Vice Chairman Fujio Cho will replace Okuda as chairman and Okuda is expected to remain a director and executive adviser at the Nagoya-based automaker to continue supporting President Katsuaki Watanabe. None. I'm more of a GTO guy.
  10. I wonder how the Simpons movie will wrap things up. Anyway, I have no idea why they cancelled Futurama in the first place. That was as bad as cancelling Family Guy.

It's the new Hyundai Elantra. You can tell it's a Hyundai based on the Azera traveling with the camo cars and the grille. I'd suggest you watermark the pics somehow so one steals them and claims them as their own.
  12. Sky Redline Pricing Today, Saturn announced that the 2007 Sky Red Line will be available this fall at a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $27,895 (including destination charges). Read "GM prices 2007 Saturn Sky Red Line" @ Leftlane News
  13. Nissan Versa Pricing Nissan North America, Inc. today announced pricing on the all-new 2007 Nissan Versa Hatchback, which goes on sale June 23 at Nissan dealers nationwide. First off, please remove that gargantuan image. Use this instead: http://nissannews.com/multimedia/infiniti2...07_sedan_16.jpg. The Compact Flash slot and card are used to transfer MP3s into a hard drive built into the car. The hard drive is around 30-40GB (I forget exactly what).

Oh that. That's real aluminum and it actually has a nice pattern to it (Infiniti calls it washi-style). It's hard to see in that image but there's a high-res image of it that shows it off well. (Very large pic): http://nissannews.com/multimedia/infiniti2...07_sedan_03.jpg

Painted? It's real wood and you have to take into account that this is still a pre-production car.

Sun glare can be a problem, yes. And if it's any consolation, the G35's is touch-screen as well. You don't have to use the buttons.

  24. GM's China Growth Better Than Expected General Motors expects to beat its vehicle sales growth forecast for China this year thanks to the strong market, Kevin Wale, president and managing director of GM China Group, told reporters on Wednesday. The world's biggest car maker had been projecting 20 percent growth in its cars and commercial vehicles this year but now expects growth in China to be "significantly more" than that, Wale said on the sidelines of an Automotive News conference.
