Tire Recommendations?
I need to replace the tires on my Ford Ranger (225-70/15)...What tire brand is your favorite, given cost considerations?

It's Official: Commodore coming to US as a Pontiac
I couldn't agree with you more. And I am wondering about how well it will sell, for as much as it may be a coincidence, it wouldn't appear that rebadged foreign designs sell well (e.g. Contour, GTO, Vibe).

New Jersey court recognizes
That may, or may not, have been a rare exception. For one of my friends, a practicing Catholic, married someone of the Jewish faith, in an interfaith ceremony, by a Catholic Priest. Yet I can think of three people, off the top-of-my-head, that had to convert to Catholicism before being married in the Church. Perhaps the rules governing marriage covenants, differ between arch diocese...

New Jersey court recognizes
I respectfully disagree. For absolutely anyone, can marry within the Catholic Church, if they convert to Catholicism. And absolutely anyone can convert to Catholicism, thus meeting the requirements necessary, to be married within the Church. But since the Church requires that Marriages be between heterosexuals, that disqualifies homosexuals from marriage in the Church, for they cannot, under any circumstances, satisfy the requirements. Two different arguments...

New Jersey court recognizes
But that's precisely the problem. If the State of New Jersey legalizes civil unions between people of the same sex, thus declaring for the participants of said unions, the same rights as those who are heterosexual and joined together legally, then I can see no conflict. But if the State of New Jersey declares that people of the same sex are married, sooner or later, the church will be compelled, if not coerced, to follow suit. And this is simply wrong. The shame of it is, that the homosexual community, once again, is being used as a political football between groups. My heart goes out to those within the homosexual community...

Converting MPEG 4 Files
I'm running Windows XP, and use Apple Itunes as my default media player. Unfortunately, when importing music, I chose the MPEG-4 format as my default setting...The thing is, the MPEG-4 format isn't compatible with any other media player...Anyone have any ideas on how to covert my music files, currently in the MPEG-4 format, to industry standard WAV, or MP3, format?

NYC mulls ban on trans fats in eateries
Although I am against the use of unhealthy ingredients in foods, I am with you. For I find similar distaste in the City-wide ban of smoking in bars, in spite of the fact that I recognize tremendously, the health benefits of not smoking, after I quit my two-plus-pack-a-day habit. I hope that all of this 'behavior' demonstrates also this: This mayor is a Republican. Republicans used to represent conservative ideals, and like libertines, conservatism used to stand for maximum personal freedoms. But once again, we are shown this: In spite of all their rhetoric, the majority of Republicans are for expanding an ever intrusive government, which is anything but conservative in nature.

Don't ask me how, but I wound up etching a few small scratches on the top of my desk, which is made of glass. Anyone know what I can use to buff the scratches out?

Anyone Have Any Suggestions?
Funny that you should say that, for that was the reaction of many people (whose responses were said in awe): "I'm very surprised that you're having trouble. After all, it's a Honda.' Meanwhile, a quick search across the 'net, reveals that this is a very common problem. I'm really interested in reading how CR rated this vehicle...

Thanks for the replies. Actually, while I don't think Honda makes the new PCM a mandatory upgrade, the upgrade is strongly suggested.

Anyone Have Any Suggestions?
A friend of mine owns a 2002 Honda Odyssey. At the time of purchase, he took an extended warrentee, from GE. Two weeks ago, his transmission failed; requiring the installation of a rebuilt unit. The thing is, when installing a rebuilt unit, Honda suggests replacing the transmission PCM (power control module), at a cost of almost 1k. GE picked up the cost of the transmission, but not the computer. But since my friend is required to use a new PCM, shouldn't the warrentee cover its' replacement? Anyone have any suggestions? Also, does anyone know of any popular Honda forums, where I might also pose this question? Thanks in advance!

Intermittant Stalling
No, what's weird is not that the car stalled. It's that they let anyone drive their new car - on the very first day that they got it! Thanks for the enjoyable and amusing story (something for which you're famous)...I hope to get down to the bottom of this soon, and I hope it won't cost me an arm-and-a-leg. I'm actually wondering if it's the EGR...Keep cleaning the EGR out, although for the past month or two, it hasn't been setting off trouble codes.

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I was actually thinking that very thing, but if it were a grounding problem, why would everything else work perfectly?

Intermittant Stalling
We have a 1995 Buick Century with the 3100 V6 (160k), which recently developed a stalling problem. The problem happens when the engine is warm (although I don't know if engine temp has anything to do with it). Irrespective of engine or vehicle speed, the motor simply cuts out. No warning. No hesitation. No stumbling. And then it takes two or three attempts to restart the vehicle, after which, the engine performs flawlessly. There are no codes in the computer, and my mechanic can't find anything. I'm baffled... I'll be away from my PC for most of the weekend, but appreciate any suggestions made in my absence. Thanks for your help!
