What WILL be missing from the market soon
So is the full sized 2008 Honda Accord. Will GM make the Epsilon II replacements for the Aura, LaCrosse, and Malibu full sized to compete?

What is missing from the market?
Regular station wagons. I don't want a crossover. Ford shouldn't have discontinued the Focus wagon.

What WILL be missing from the market soon
Body on frame cars and mid size body on frame SUV's will be gone by 2012. The Panthers and TrailBlazer/Envoy will be gone, the Durango/Aspen will be either be discontinued or based on the Grand Cherokee, and the Explorer is moving to D3.

USA TODAY 08 Accord review
The roomy interior, making the car full-size, impresses me, making me wonder how competitive the Malibu will be against this.

All kidding aside
How about none of the above. I don't think it should come here at all.

2009 Dodge Journey!!
How much does this thing weigh? I hope it's not a tub like the Lambdas and the Edge.

Timeline for Future Buicks
My understanding is that there will be a 2010 Epsilon II LaCrosse in early calendar year 2009 as a 2010 model and a RWD Lucerne for the 2012 model year.

SPY SHOTS! 2009 Pontiac Vibe
If forced into a small car, the Vibe is what I would buy, since Ford dropped the Focus wagon.

80's cars that didn't suck
I always found the 1985 LTD LX, which had the 185 hp Mustang 302 with throttle body fuel injection, an interesting Ford sedan from that era.

Some Very Important News
Some believe that Ford and Chrysler would have gone out of business in the early 1980's had CAFE not forced them to abandon the 1970's gas guzzlers and develop FWD cars like the K cars and the Escort/Lynx. But I think that the new higher CAFE standards could easily destroy truck dependent Ford and Chrysler. There's no way you can develop a 30 mpg (combined city/highway) Dodge Ram or F150.

A couple of members I miss having around the site
The departures of Evok and AH-HA as well as my pessimism about the future of GM and Ford reduced my involvement here.

Tammy Faye Messner dies
I have fond memories of a children's show she had in the late 1960's when I was a little boy in Portsmouth, VA long before PTL and its scandals. I always liked her and enjoyed seeing her on The Surreal Life a few years ago.

Calif. considers bill requiring pets be sterilized
It's more important to stop the suffering of homeless dogs and cats than for people to be able to get free or cheap pets.

Calif. considers bill requiring pets be sterilized
This is an excellent idea that should spread across the country. I have two dogs and a cat, all whom I adopted after they were abandoned. It's time to stop this suffering.

Ding Dong the Wicked Witch is Dead
The Accord diesel is one car that could make me consider buying a Japanese brand. GM and Ford both need to get on the ball here.

May 2007: Ford Motor Company
At BON, it is best just to read what your favorite posters are saying and ignore the rest. I always check on Biker16, 630land (Chicagoland here), theoldwizard, BlueII, and grbeck. AH-HA also posts there about once every 2 months. The rest is a waste of time. It is good that the moderators here stay on top of things.

What Cadillac Should do with its Future
The DTS/Deville sold far better back in the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's when it was RWD.

What Cadillac Should do with its Future
And some folks need to get off the Lucerne on FWD forever kick also, because it will go on Zeta as there will be no large FWD platform for the Lucerne either. GM is reducing the number of platforms.

What Cadillac Should do with its Future
Since the G and W bodies are being discontinued and since GM can't afford to develop another FWD platform (a Lambda derivative would be too heavy), the only way Cadillac would ever get a FWD car is with a super stretched Epsilon II, which I don't know is possible.
