Spy Shots: 2009 Chrysler Sebring
From that picture of the front, it looks to me like the hood, fenders (upper crease line gone), and probably front lower fascia are all different. How much more can they change on just a model refresh?

It was bound to happen: K Car Club springs up
Dude, a Dodge 600 Turbo convertible is off the chain! Unfortunately, I only had a used maroon 600 ES sedan. It was still a nice first car though.

Automakers' gas gimmicks may backfire
This hippie is a jackass. It's nothing more than a marketing ploy. It won't cost Chrysler any more than the usual rebates. It is not an excuse for Chrysler to keep making gas guzzling vehicles....it's a way of moving excess inventory of slower selling vehicles during a gas price bubble. Chrysler has to meet CAFE numbers just like every other manufacturer. Does this guy want Chrysler to be "green" like Toyota, who has 6 different SUVs and 2 trucks?

2009 Challenger specs
I've got the 4 spd and 3.5L in my 2005 Chrysler 300 Touring. It moves quite well. I think the car mags did 0-60 in 7 sec flat. Not bad for a 4000 lb car! I wouldn't hesitate getting a 3.5L Challenger. Now for some SRT fun. Check out this video:

Chrysler, Nissan to hook up for model swapping
Way to fly off the handle. It's one truck, and one car. Didn't we just combine all of Chrysler's and VW's lineups after Chrysler made VW a minivan?? That didn't go anywhere beyond that minivan. Get a grip people. There will not be a 2013 Challenger/350Z platform. The Big 3 desperately need small cars to sell right now, and Chrysler doesn't have a true small car.....and the stupid deal with China isn't going anywhere (and that's how it should stay ). Chevy has their Daewoo Aveo, and Ford will have their new Fiesta, probably made in Thailand.

Forgotten Concepts
I always thought the Jeep Treo was stupid, but I guess it was supposed to be a city car for Japan's crowded streets. It carried two bikes on the back:

What's your beef with Toyota?
Why do people think the Sebring and Avenger are built in Mexico?? I had to correct somebody in another forum that said that (was it you ) . They are built in Sterling Heights, Michigan.....my hometown....my friend works there! However, I wouldn't exactly call them a "small" car.

09 DODGE JOURNEY first drive
I'm gonna go ahead and guess (without looking it up) that the $1000 "rebate" is only for using Chrysler Financial?? Chrysler does this with pretty much every new model. They will make up more money in the long run, if you use Chrysler Financial for your loan. I have to point this out every time someone tries to use this as an example of a new Chrysler vehicle instantly failing.

Chysler closing?
They did this every year when I worked at GM. Not really a big deal.

Dodge Nitro SRT8?!
I don't understand why everyone thinks the idea is so stupid?? I mean, as enthusiasts, people should like a V8 in anything. While it might not make much sense for someone trying to save money on gas, what about people that don't care about gas prices, and want a high horsepower small-ish SUV? The Nitro could use a little more power to live up to the name, even though the 4.0L is more then enough to move it. Maybe it would only get the the new 300 HP 4.7L V8, instead of the 425 HP 6.1L, and actually be affordable? That would be cool....along with upgraded interior materials!

B5 Blue Challenger
$150K !! It actually sold for $228,143.43 ........and I'm sure the new owner is very happy!

B5 Blue Challenger
It's also the 43rd car produced, which was Richard Petty's number.....and it's basically "Petty Blue". They aren't trying to convince people to buy this because it has "performance upgrades". If you are worried about that, then this car isn't for you. It's a one-of-a-kind collectors vehicle from the factory....how much more special does it need to be??

B5 Blue Challenger
I'm assuming the people getting pre-approved might actually trust the source.

B5 Blue Challenger
B5 was the paint code for a similar blue in the 70's. B5 = "Bright Blue Metallic" for Dodge B5 = "Blue Fire Metallic" for Plymouth

----------------------------- I'm not to keen on the decal package, but maybe it would look better in person. I would probably just leave it off. This color blue is awesome!!! Auction link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=260213483739

Challenger Unmasked
Even so, it still is pretty high for a modern car. It would have looked stupid if they tried to make it open lower into the bumper....which is what I would have expected from them. But they avoided the ergonomic pressure, and stuck with what looked cool....and I applaud them!
