I am surprised that GM has not shuttered Holden at all. GM is largely selling in Australia what is made here. Holden no longer has a unique selling point, so there is no point in having Holden survive.

VW should sell those PHEVs here in the USA right now. There is still some demand for them (maybe not a million, but a few thousand).

Can you turn off AWD? That will probably raise your MPG a couple of points.

They say AIM HIGH. With a few tweaks and a stronger top-line trim engine, this CT6 sounds almost perfect. Yes the XT4 and XT5 and (forthcoming) XT6 are required to maximize sales, but there is no reason we cannot have nice Cadillac sedans as well as crossovers.

A real F sport would be based on a RWD platform, but Lexus is too scared of losing sales. So we will end up with a pseudo-fast F sport instead, just like right now.

THIS is why GM needs Cadillac to take on Tesla.

I doubt Lexus is going to build a Performance RX or NX anytime soon.

Small cars don't really sell anymore. Let GM stick with the Trax and Encore and XT4.

Mobility as a service is what Uber and Lyft are selling. Automakers will NOT have a selling point that is better than those apps.

Electrics failed because gas was and is cheap and batteries were either too weak to do the job or too expensive to justify sales. Once the batteries are actually superior to gas and charging is as fast as filling up, sales should rise significantly. Give them at least 10-15 years for that to happen.

Good. Let the market decide if EV pickups are worth it. Gotta love the competition.

Base models generally are NOT a good buy to begin with. . . . . regardless of make and model. Especially on a luxury marque.

VWAG will never go under because it is part-owned by Lower Saxony, Germany. (Imagine if Michigan owned a large part of GM or Ford). If Germany was that cutthroat, then Daimler or (more likely) BMW would be forced to walk the plank.

I hear you on most of those complaints. They were more valid on previous versions of Windows (like Windows 8 or XP or ME). Personally, I find that Win 10 works really well on my desktop AND my notebook. YMMV.

Apple's real problem is that they are pricing themselves out of the market when everyone else is offering models under $500. I read an article where Apple had sold leftover stock of the iPhone SE for $249 brand new and they sold out within three days. At a time where smartphones are ubiquitous and more people are getting their smartphone repaired rather than replaced, Apple chose a poor time to have a new phone START at $750 and up. When I replaced my iPhone back in June, I picked up the 8 Plus rather than the iPhone X because the 8+ still has a few features that the X did not have. . . . and I saved some serious cash doing just that. If the XR started at $500 and they kept making the SE at $250, Apple would not be in so much sales trouble. Then again, Apple seems to expects all the services that come with an iPhone to buoy them in case iPhone sales really fall off a cliff.

So no new platform for the Charger/300/Challenger triplets. That is so Sergio: undercut ChryCo products and coddle FIAT products at ChryCo expense. Apparently the new guy may not want ChryCo to succeed either.
