GM News: General Motors Rejects Unifor Pleas To Keep Oshawa Open, Workers Stage A Sit-Down Strike
I do not foresee another bailout of any company, automaker or not, anytime soon. Unifor needs to recognize that they are no longer needed and they should seek another job. As for Honda, when was the last time their sales (of any ONE vehicle) fell 25-50%? That has never happened. Their factory in Marysville OH is flexible enough so that layoffs are unnecessary. And people keep buying Hondas.

December 2018: Audi of America
I would rather build the CT6 here and export it to China.

December 2018: Kia Motors America
There are a LOT of KIAs out where I live. The resale value of said KIAs are in the toilet because of that cold harsh fact.

December 2018: Hyundai Motor America
Genesis needs a crossover STAT. Then again, Hyundai itself is not really growing much at all, and in some places has fallen back compared to 2017.

Fourth-Quarter 2018: General Motors
If all the crossovers were built in the same factory, I completely agree. Problem is is that Buick has the Encore built in Korea and the Envision built in China. I get the Encore, but the Envision could be SO MUCH BETTER. The truly sad part is that GM (and Ford and FCA) are essentially justified in ditching sedans for crossovers and SUVs because sedans do not sell well anymore. Even Toyota and Honda and Nissan cannot sell sedans like they were accustomed to 10-15 years ago.

December 2018: Audi of America
Whoa. I had no idea that the Q5 is essentially carrying the whole brand these days. If there is a car marque that needs to rethink its CAR lineup, it is Audi. I am amazed that none of the other Q crossovers are increasing sales at all.

Fourth-Quarter 2018: General Motors
WOW. Assuming those numbers are accurate, GM sedans are not selling well at all. Fewer than 700,000 sold for 2018? No wonder GM is ditching FWD sedans for FWD crossovers. It is good that the XT4 has found an audience without completely cannibalizing the XT5. Some Cadillac buyers wanted to go smaller I guess. Save the CT6. I do wonder why (given the Buick/GMC dealerships) the Envision AND the Terrain are on sale on the same lot. Same with the Enclave and the Acadia. The Buick/GMC dealerships should just sell the Enclave and the Terrain since both are the better vehicles in their respective segments.

Bentley CEO Talks About Upcoming EV, Admits They're Losing Some Customers to Porsche and Tesla
Maybe Bentley is right given current battery power density. In a decade or so, denser batteries will allow them (and all automakers) to build BEVs that are far superior to what is on the market now. Sometimes it is bets to wait for technology to catch up with your ambitions if you are not able to push it along yourself.

The pricing may well be nuts, but it is what the market will bear. I doubt any non-luxury sedan can get away with that pricing as of now.

Hyundai News:Hyundai and Kia Get Served A Class-Action Lawsuit
Given that this is only one set of engines, Hyundai/KIA could simply engineer a new engine without all those issues and start again with a newer models to replace those bad ones. Two questions: who was in charge of quality control that allowed this to happen? Also, who will be held responsible for this mess inside the firm?
