It's official. Chrysler's up for auction...NOT?
Personally let Chrysler die. The only good parts are Dodge and Jeep. Chryslers time is past and it should be retired. This would be good for all of the US and for GM and Ford. I know there will be those here that will hate me for the comments, but reality is that not everyone survives for ever and with the debt this nation has, there is no need for the tax payers to bail out and save this small section of the auto world. Let it die a clean death and take dodge and jeep and keep it rocking on those alone with tweaked product portfolios. IMO

Cadillac to Debut GM's Powerful New V6 Clean Diesel
Even a 5K premium would not turn me off from buying a Diesel AWD CTS. This would rock. I take this over a hybrid any day.

GENEVA: Cadillac Brings its Power Forth
Diesel option in the CTS is gonna Rock

GENEVA: 2008 Mazda2 (Demio)
Another COFFIN on Wheels. Wish the famlies the best in preparing for the funeral. I will never own one of these coffins. Just not worth my life over. Plus how ugly can you get, why does all sub compacts need to be a bean shape and ugly to boot.

Geneva: 2008 Bentley Brooksland
While nice looking, I still think these boats are over rated and over priced.

Cadillac to Debut GM's Powerful New V6 Clean Diesel
I would like a White Diamond colored AWD CTS please fully loaded with the Diesel engine option. This Rocks!

Camaro Could Spawn Large Cadillac
Windy, I would agree with you. The DTS buyers need to move to Buick and go exclusive RWD or AWD with Caddy. Good Points.

GENEVA: Vauxhall VXR8
The side profile is awesome, very well executed. The front end leaves a lot to be desired, very boring and dull. The headlamps are a true knock off of the R34/35 Nissan Skyline. I lover the upper half of the rear-end. The wing and tail lights are great. I even like the dual exhaust system. Yet from the top of the bumper to the bottom it just seems wrong in the execution of it. Here's hoping to a better product in the G8.

Spied: Cadillac SRX-V?
I for one use it all the time. Just for everyone to know, I am a solid fan of the BOF Escalade and DO NOT want a Unibody version. I use my Escalade to pull my 27ft SeaRay all year long be it for fishing or water play in the summer. Funny thing is that while I really like the quality they put into the 2007 Escalades, I actually ended up in Dec 2006 buying what was one of the last produced Escalades ESV Platinum editions on the lot here in Seattle. Sandberg Cadillac. Got it in the White Diamond color and love it. handles so nice, yea would like some of the new features on the 2007 including the removed in 2006 so they could add it as a new feature in the 2007 option of you unlock your SUV and the keyfob sets the seat and mirrors and pedals. Unlike my CTS, this option was removed by GM, I have from the service department the internal doc that shows they removed this with no explanation and yet it came back on the new 2007 models. Pissed me off and I sent off a bitch letter that on a 75K SUV this should be there. My parents bought their SRX when it first came out and just got a 2nd one. They use the 3rd seat all the time, course it is for the grand kids as no adult can really sit back there comfy. But for the baby boomer crowd with kids or grand kids it works great. SRX really is a hot vehicle. Funny as my mom drives hers which is in the Sea Foam Green color and matches the trim on her house. My dad got his in the white diamond color. After seeing my escalade, he decided to trade in his truck and get another one since he liked the SRX so much. So dual SRX in my parents garage. Cadillac rocks. FYI, I wish they would do 2 things to the Escalade line. Make all the *@#$ Chrome an option as I do not like the bling including the large chrome brick on the back. Should just be the large Caddy logo. The second thing is give the body some unique body lines as it still looks to much like the Tahoe and Yukon. Those are 2 of the biggest reasons for buying the last new 2006 Escalade on the lot over the 2007. The dealership was happy to sell it to me but also surprised why I did not want the new 2007 model ESV Platinum edition. Damn chorme dings up on the side of the doors anyway. IMO B)

Get Your Priorities Straight
They need to bring back a Syclone Version. Take small block 5.3 V8 and give it twin turbo's and all wheel drive. I loved the GMC Syclone. B)

Honda's new A-Vtec system
Could it be that GM still has not figured out how to build a profitable small compact? Or maybe it is the fact that the markets that GM sell's these engines into are still strong enough that GM feels it does not need to change yet. Reality, GM will eventually get there, but the key markets are more into V6 and V8's that GM needs to update than Brazil with the 1.6 or 2.2 engines. Yes I know these engines get sold here also, but their market share I believe is small in comparison to the V6 and V8 market. Just my thoughts.

You Have Much to Live for, Robot!
That was funny as HELL! I loved the commercial and for all those out there, get a reality grip. This was well done and I am glad to see GM stand up to BS like this.

Letter to GM from Edmonds.com president
The New Arcadia and other crossovers are nice, but after seeing the GMC product line at the Seattle Boat show, I was surprised to see a fully loaded Arcadia is 45K and they had a nicely equiped Yukon for 45K. IMO I would take the Yukon, I do not see giving up the space and comfort level for something so small. IMO

GM May Sell Allison Transmission
This is WRONG!!! I hate Toyota, but if they can make money at the same time that they own their own Tranny and Engine plants, GM can do the same thing. This sounds like a plan by gm MANAGEMENT to allow them to bring money into the company and hit their own Executive goals that lines them with stock, cash bonus, etc. America's biggest problem is the current generation of instant gratification, me first and no real dedication to long term growth and security for all employees of a company. Executives goals should be based on what security and growth they bring over time to the company. Selling Allison and increasing their cost is not going to help GM. Sorry but the example above is bunk, GM pays 800 at cost and sells for 1000 but can buy for 900 and still sell for 1000. BS, GM mgmt will not want to cut their own profit margins. If they sell Allison, they will up what they charge us consumers to keep if not increase their profit margines. Then we will have crap on our hands as they still have not totally gotten out of the rebate cycle as slow times will cause them to cut profit to maintain selling trucks. Better to keep allison, work on paying off the legacy debt of the pension funds and enhance the products as in the long run, they will continue to drive cost lower, increase the units they make and deliver. Far too many oportunities to drive a variety of products for 6 and 4 cyclinder engines with solid Allison tranny's backing up the new 4 and 6 cylinder diesels. IMO Keep Allison and GO DIESEL!!!

Consumer Reports: Child seat test faulty
Yes another proof that Consumers reports has very little credibility in their testing. Truly alternative agendas exist at this magazine company.

Lincoln MKR Concept
G. David Felt replied to BB_454's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Interior has some nice cue's such as the information station on wineries. Love that. But over all I could not see it making production. The body of this auto is Beautiful. This in a RWD platform would truly give Caddy, Mercedes and BMW a run for the money. This is what Lincoln needs if it is to survive.

G. David Felt replied to Variance's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)I travel all the time to Germany and see these Death Crates on wheels. As a 6'6" american, I have tried and am not able to fit in one. To me you have to be stupid and crazy to buy and drive one. I just pick you out of my grill of my suburban.

FIRST LOOK: DCX Minivans
Boring and Ugly as all Minivans are but then these will still sell in large quantities to the large familys that need people movers. I totally agree, at least they are sticking it out in a segment they created and have grown. I do now more than ever believe that GM has done the right thing in killing off the minivans and moving to the crossovers. I think they will have greater success here.

Here's your '08 CTS sneak peek pic
Dude I totally agree with you, need lots of money for all the great auto's coming out. FYI, Japs is not the best term to use. A bit racist and has deragatory marks to WWII. Yea I know political correctness sucks, but Japanease did get us lazy americans to finally realize we needed to do things with quality since we were ignoring this important issue. GM ROCKS!!!
