  1. Even when I test drove a Long Range RWD it was clearly spirited in Sport mode but still had plenty of go in Normal mode. Eco mode even in mine is pathetic and I see no reason to have that mode imho.
  2. I also think Kia is understating the actual Torque and HP of their EVs. My own roadtrips in my EV9 have pretty much shown me that I think it is more powerfull than they are advertising.

  4. Before you say the Telluride FWD will be quicker than the light or light long range RWD at highway speeds, I strongly suggest you go actually test drive a EV9 Light. I have and I know the fact that it is every bit equal to the Telluride that my son bought. 2024 model of both. Yes, my son bought a mid-level AWD Telluride, but he did test drive the FWD only model and found it lacking even as an SUV that starts at $38,000 roughly and the EV9 Light RWD moved every bit equal to the FWD Telluride. Once you go to AWD, then the Telluride falls behind the EV9 and on the highway even at speed does not have the get up and go that the EV9 has. Both are solid SUVs, but Kia has taken into account the torque and HP of the electric and it surpasses the ICE Telluride.

  6. Yet I will say that Tesla is NOT a Luxury brand but a Minimalist Brand. As such, you get far more luxury in BMW than Tesla ever gives. Quality is a whole other issue too. Tesla biggest benefit is their charging superstations and even that is a limit especially in North America since V4 are non-existent and most are v2 and about 1/3rd V3 along with old 400V technology which only a few auto makers which BMW is not one of is actually delivering on a true 800V system.

Today was a Sad day, i went to my boss's funeral. I knelt down next to his casket and said, "Who's thinking outside the box now?" ?
  11. Yes true, but I know that the EV9 headlight system is a stand alone system and not connected to the front end the way many current autos are built, so a hit on the front bumper area will not impact the headlight system unless it is a full rear-ender from the person driving the EV9. This seems to look like the headlights are part of the front bumper system with the Daytime LED running light assembly being separate from the front nose. There are actual separate crumple zones on the EV9 compared to what I see as one massive front nose crumple zone that hits both incorporated headlights. @smk4565 being an insurance adjuster might have info on if that is one big crumple zone or separate areas. This is one thing that causes more headaches for Tesla is the big single crumple zone on those front ends that tends to really increase cost for repair compared to the assembly which can be cheaper.

  13. This totally screems Big Mouth Billy Bass with that terrible big black grill. Plus talk about expensive repair if you hit someone due to the bumper, headlights, etc. all built into one front end unit. Just not impressed with it and the seats do not look comfy at all, 2nd row are just flat hard looking seats that I am just shaking my head at. ?

How tall are you? As the back seat looks very tight since you were in the front seat. I would say this works for those under 5'8" tall.

We just need to stop allowing people to have dangerous wild animals as pets. I see no reason to have it, this being allowed is what is causing an imbalance in the native eco system. Just look at Florida and all the stupid non-native snakes dropped in the water there when they get too big.

I honestly do not get the rabid fans of the DFW area. I owned a home on Grapevine Lake north of the mid-city area and for the year we lived there before moving back to the PNW it was a hot, flat blahness of an area. I miss the BBQ, but I do not miss the snakes in the lake coming up onto the yard and trying to get into the house. Water Moccasins are nasty, and I am glad to not live there.

Agree, always a great variety of BBQ, loved eating here: Spring Creek Barbeque The unlimited hot fresh dinner rolls that were buttery right out of the oven, so good you could eat them as is.
  20. True, the state is led by an idiot and boomer thinking, so I feel for you and others who want to move forward but are held back by old archaic thinking.

I am expecting this corvette to start around $175,000 and run up to $250,000 before crazy dealership markups.
  22. I used to agree with that thinking, but at least here in the PNW, Condo Complexes have been embracing allowing Condo owners to install a charger in their garage much like my daughter has done or has built charging sections. Apartments too are now advertising that they have chargers, something the tech workers want so getting well paid folks to move in.
  23. No matter what ICE fans say about EV never taking off, the days of big block engines is over and for those that have driven an EV and has the ability to charge at home, EVs make so much more sense than ICE.

I honestly have tried a couple times and Seinfeld is just not funny nor interesting to me, I feel like I deserve a refund for my time wasted on that show. That also is why I tend to not watch much TV unless I stream a movie as I would rather be out living life than sitting in front of the tube being programmed at.
