I agree if I had to buy an import it would be a Honda duh! The current Accord still runs circles around the 'new' Camry. Toyota is busting into a somewhat 'set' market people in the mid west like me, have strong values and like American stuff. I live in Iowa that is about as mid-west as you can get eh?

Perception is reality and that is the prejudice GM has to overcome. I think they will most people don't know GM recalled less vehicles than Toyota last year and GM made more vehicles.

The man makes a point even in this down time of American automakers, I think the in the end Toyota will get unionized and get f*cked royally. At least that is my hope, and the press is doing a great job of making GM look like sh*t. Big suprise, if Toyota takes one will they become there punching bag.

We have other real problems and hp limitation aren't one of them. We have alot of important things to deal with. HP does not always determine fuel economy, what dip-$h!s, I could see saying all cars must have 5spd. automatic trannies.

Seriously who wrote this? Really this is the most biased piece of $h! article I have ever heard. Toyota's Prius is slow selling they are all over dealers lots. The only models that save them are Camry's and Corolla's! This is all based on theory GM is still outselling Toyota this year so far. Today has been a real downer, American Idol was bad and now this $h!y article. Wait until the new Malibu, G8, Enclave, and GMT-900 HD's get out on the lots. Someone won't be laughing anymore... GM is bringing it in a big way, this is just a half-cocked twisted way to keep moral up at Toyota while the new Tundra has been a somewhat so seller along with various others. Mr K. has no clue what he is taking about with the Impala thing RETAIL SALES ARE WAY UP! And FLEET SALES DOWN, especially daily rental sales the ones GM doesn't want. Think about it for a minute, more and more Camry's are coming with bar codes in the back window, gee wonder what that means... MMMMMM I think I do RENTAL'S! I saw a ton of them!

No interest in a CTS but in a Colorado, Canyon, H3 or even in a small SUV like the Equinox, or in a hybrid like Prius, made by Chevrolet would be nice. I can't get over 400lbft. of torque from a V6. What is the word on fuel economy and transmission pairing.

I happen to think she has some excellent points, then again sometimes Ann sounds a wee bit crazy and out of touch. After all I am in the minority around here I tend to me more conservative than most. Overall she is a good lady but has her flaws, and although her apporach a little extreme *(to much for me even!)* she happens to shed light on real problems and political correctness is one of them... How far can we let politically correct go, I have always wondered and think we have to stop somewhere because we will always offend somebody.

Sadly it won't be near big enough even when using it at the biggest size.

I agree with the wise person above. My sons teacher knows Mr. Wagoner somewhat personally and says he is an absolute delight and a very friendly down to earth man. Trust me this lady my sons old teacher is a great judge of character.

They still sold close to 4K DTS's this past month not bad considering, most people buy the new Cadillac the first model year. I think the Lucerne and DTS deserve a new and large FWD platform Epsilon II/Lambada/Chi I don't care but if they could get one it could also be shared with the Saab 9-5 to move that more upmarket in size and performance. I think a new 3.6L Turbo V6 would suit it nicely! The DTS is big Cadillac seller and switching it to RWD is to big of a risk, even I think for Cadillac to take. Just get a new FWD platform for the Lucerne and DTS there is still enough time!

I agree it might have more gears but hydramatic in the Lucerne shifts excellent.

Aren't good sales enough to merit selling a vehicle? I think some people just don't get it, if it sells produce the vehicle. Toyota lives with no RWD cars in there line-up! **There on fire!** (I am excluding Lexus!) We all want is best for GM and sales help big-time so don't get rid of a strong seller to make a RWD version that I bet sells LESS. RWD performance only goes so far! The DTS is not a car that is right for that, the CTS and STS are of course but not the DTS. It offers a car to dollar ratio that is hard to beat in todays luxury market. All GM needs to do is give it a 6spd. automatic and an update frame or all new. It would be developement money well spent. If you think RWD is the wave of the future then you are wrong, it will be part of the future but not all of it. Wonder why GM has upped the game so much will the new 2008 Malibu? I don't, because that is going to sell like hot-cakes with any luck. The DTS sells to strong to risk pissing away loyal buyers and sales. I don't think you get it that not everyone wants nor cares for RWD and taking an excellent seller that is currently FWD and switching it to RWD without a proper replacement is nuts. Chevy is doing it right by moving the Malibu up in size and market and changing the Impala to RWD. Without anyother large FWD Cadillac to take the DTS's place it is STUPID!
