Buying a 2005 Chevrolet Impala LS in Sandstone Metallic 60K on her (so my daughter gets the 2001) 2001 Chevrolet Impala Sedan (Base) in Sand Drift Beige Metallic 86K on her and is staying for a while... 2005 Pontiac Bonneville SLE in Cranberry Red Metallic 29K on her and will be with me or my son forever... (No question) 2007 Pontiac Torrent FWD in Purple Haze Metallic 14K on her and is staying for a LONG TIME yet... Down the Road my son or I will be getting a 5th generation Camaro SS... After that who knows, I might be getting Fords if GM is still government run, I hope not.

Yeah as I recall some GMT-800's had cloth inserts in the door panels right? Later years they were ALL plastic. I am betting it was decontenting...

Exactly mine haven't been as clean lately as I'd like but, people look at me when I clean my SLE's tips out back like I am nuts. Unlike most people I just care, and take pride in what I own.

Hell even a Ram Jet 350 would do... A 502 in that puppy would be hot, but would it fit in the motor bay, and wouldn't that thing just beat the piss right out of the factory 5spd? Now a 6spd. from the GMT-800 HD trucks would be nice as well.

Most people don't care as much about there cars or modding them as you DF. People like many of us on C&G are 1 out of 100 maybe rarer.

Yes well I haven't seen it on any prior to 2004 so its like they added it in 2004 on models with premium cloth maybe and took it away on leather and 2005 models. I am really wondering. I noticed the passenger door had no key hole right away on my SLE when I got it, keep in mind my 2001 Impala didn't have RKE so it came in handy. If I have RKE I don't care but it is a nice feature, but something I don't need.

My base 2001 didn't have nor did the LS's I looked at back then... And my sisters 2004 base doesn't have it either and yes her's is cloth too. Yeah I am confused any help would be great thanks in advanced. Yes maybe they were trying to save money. We are talking about General Motors after all. If mine doesn't have it and my son finds out you could have it, I am feeling a mod job is coming on. I wonder if just that fabric piece or plastic in my possible case can be removed. I'll check on eBay!

Anyways I have noticed on 2004/2005 Impala models some have a cloth door insert. I have seen the cloth inserts with cloth seats and without but never with leather. I have looked through my 2001-2005 Impala Brochure collection and found nothing. I have checked GM's media site and found nothing under year to year changes. Can anyone shed some light on this? Anyways here is the photograph...

I always was a Pontiac, Chevrolet and Cadillac Man. Now I am just down to Chevrolet and Cadillac, not that I would rule out a Buick someday or a special GMC. I do love Cadillac's my dad owned two, and owned one of his after he passed away and LOVED it.

Saw one, a brand new black Camaro SS without RS package and with polished wheels. The drivers around me all thought I was going to have heart-attack, it was so f-ing hot! Sounded great too!

The GT is SWEET. I would rock that in a heart-beat.

Yeah Honda has pretty good customer service, this sounds like a Toyota problem... Are we sure the owner hasn't confused his Camry as an Accord?

No offical word yet... I am hoping to have it end of this week or early next week. I will keep everyone posted, and upload photographs as soon as it comes home, and it looks like for the first time in 8 years the 2001 is going to sit outside.
