I am just very scared for GM at this point. I don't want any republican in the congress running this joint either. I just hope GM picks someone and not the task force. I just am scared very scared, I hope I am not seeing the start of the end of GM... I hope whomever gets the job will do a good job, then again I always like Wagoner so I am biased. I am just concerned about too much goverment getting into this. It needs to be GM's choice because after they file chapter 11 or get through this tough patch they will be stuck with this new person, I just hope the CEO is the right one.

I am changing my mind, this cannot be good. Goverment should never get involved to "booting" people out of private buisness. I think Chris Dodd would also do a wonderful job of running GM into the ground. This is my problem with goverment and the "Union Bailout" started under Bush and keeps going under Obama just great. Damn it, I am almost ready to say screw it-- I am buying a Ford or Honda, no kidding. Nor should goverment select who will run the company from here on out...

Great idea, a side not do you think a Alpha G6 would sell well Camino?

I could support a Pontiac with only three or four models. G6, G8, Solstice and a possible Firebird/Trans Am via Camaro. The Firebird/Trans Am would be true to history at least.

I would love them to sell that here too, shame I'll never be able to afford one, and that would be in addition to the STS and DTS.

I do find that interesting, and GM will force even MORE people out of their cars without a Pontiac. Thanks for helping make my point. As for the rest of your comment I have to agree to some extent. They are paying for mistakes 20-30 years ago, and GM's new products like G8, Enclave, Malibu, Silverado and CTS all are very good quality products and competitive if not close to class leading in there segments. Think about some of the awards they have won...

I am so excited about this car. I have read all reviews so far and watch countless Youtube video's with so much that could have went so wrong, Chevrolet got everything so right.

Honestly GM cannot become Toyota, it won't work for them. Once again it will force even more people out of GM vehicles. I hate to say it, a GM without Pontiac would be a sad place. Time and time again Pontiac outsells Buick nearly two to one in the US so why would we get rid of GM's third best selling division? I hope your wrong about Pontiac's fate because a GM without a Pontiac is a huge mistake.

Any info on the launch control or how to extract max performance from a manual trans car? (With and/or without launch control?)
