Child - Grow up and actually work and live a day in your life. You are a CHILD! You do not know $h! about this industry and with your Buickman attitude you never will. GROW UP. I will not take crap from a teenager.

I am sorry - but you do not understand the measurements, how they are taken and what they mean with respect to occupant seating. I refer you to Griffons post. Think about it before your reply. If a vehicle has an extra inch of should room, how much usable shoulder room is that for an outboard occupant? Hip room, that is another story all together.

What does that have to do with anything? STS rear hip room 55.6 in DTS rear hip room 55.7 in. The only significant difference between the China SLS compared to the DTS and S-Class type of vehicle is truck space.

I agree 100% If GM is able to build it in the US, hold the price than let the phase out of the DTS begin. The big if is if GM can build it in Lansing. I am not sure to what extent or level China is going to build the vehicle. i.e. I am unsure if the stampings will be US or China built, and to what level China wil build knock down kits.

I do not know about the lwb being sold in the US or Europe but the interior . . . you bet ya. Remember GM is acting global.

Yes - in the same plant as the HD 800/900s.

I have no problem with that. Razorsedge is an asshole. I will not support racism or any other bigotry no matter what my personal opinion is of the subject matter.

GM still has the I69/I75 800/900/HD truck plant, the Atlast engine plant which is new, the brand new US production of the HF V6 3.6l, GM SPO HQ in Grand Blanc and expanded operations at the Great Lakes Tech Centre. There is still the Dort Hwy, metal fab operation and the Corunna Road SPO operations. There still are some powertrain operation over at the BC site. Yes some of these operations are not in the city but they still service the Flint metro area. In a nut shell, GM has not left Flint but still has diverse operations in the area, though not the same scale as circa 1980.

All I need to think of is the BM and yes you are correct. Mis-focused priorities comes to mind.

If you don't remember so did Flint! Remember Auto World and the River Front Pavillion? How about the city try to get gambling approved. IMO - I believe manufacturing industry is the last thing Flint can and should attract. Right now Flint has two industries that continue to fall under the radar screen. Those are education and health care. Flint's colleges and university in the form of UofM, Kettering, Mott, Baker may be the city's best bet in the near term. Turn Flint into a college town and revitalize main street with something students can do so they do not have to drive to Ann Arbor, Royal Oak, etc. Second, with the new Genessey Health Care Centre and the still lucrative GM pensions in the city, health care may also be another viable option. Williamson needs to clean up Dort Hwy and shift the focus away from the Vegas style of entertainment he was promoting the last time I looked. EDUCATION might be the city's only option.
  18. BTW - I see you posting. Don't waste my time with your spin. Good night.
  19. Oh come on - You seem to miss the original point of this discussion. You were wrong on capacity constraints for the Fusion products. Global sales - are less than what you stated. If you want to continue to play your games - get your facts straight. I have been in this business way to long. I did the sales analysis.
  20. No - It seems you do not know how to add. I checked the data and you are off base. You also seem to miss why Ford is running the extra shift and why the incentives are low.
  21. Check the data yourself. Over simplified.
  22. Since my earlier post was lost and getting back to my original point, you are still wrong. Your sales numbers are wrong or a more correct statement is incomplete and your overall assessment of the situation is wrong. Ford is not contrained by production.
  23. Well your sales numbers are a tad inflated but there is always a third shift when Ford wants to get back into the fleet business.
  24. Estimates I have are 250k.
  25. I agree - Ford for unexplainable reasons imploded these past 6 years and Ford mgt appeared to not even try to right themselves. Ford will be a case study in Harvard's business school for years to come as an unsolved mystery. As for the product, it will take for 6 new non direct replacement programs to make up for all the lost volume. The market today is too competitive for silver bullet programs like the Taurus, Explorer 20 years ago.
