The only thing i really hate about my impala is the back taillights....every day i walk out to it and wonder why the hell they did it like that. I would love to buy the body colored tail surrounds but GM wants a buttload for 'em...so I'm keeping my eye open for something else. Other than the taillights, the rest of the car has really grown on me. I really like the edgy look and the wedge shape it has. It looked kinda $h!ty when i got it becuase it is just a base impala, but I added some stuff that I think make it look somewhat attractive actually. Here are a few pics of mine. It is a very reliable car. I basically bought it just rack up highway miles on, instead of of my suburban. It's nice getting 26-28 mpg instead of 15 mpg too. I just passed 90000 the other day and all I've had to replace so far was the catlytic, but that was replaced under emissions warranty. It wasn't my first choice of car when I was shopping but it was a steal of a deal so it really didn't matter.

I'm 1/2 german, 1/4 swedish, 1/8 norwegian, 1/16 english, 1/16 irish. Kind of a mix of everything, but you can definately tell im German. Both of my grandpas were 100% german.

i know a girl that has a 98 catera. Well she HAD a 98 catera. ended up just parking it. SOOO many things went wrong with that car. Something in the computer went out twice. The rear air shocks were f'ed up so jacked up the end of the car. belts went out a couple of times. Tons of other little electrical stuff. Then finally about 5-6 months ago the engine went and the dealer wanted a rediculous amount to fix that....so she just parked it and got something else.

a few summers ago we bought some furnature and got 1.65 canadian for our dollar when we bought it.....then i was just up there a couple weekends ago and I got 1.12....sad. When i got back from Canada that weekend I was talking to my dad about how bad the exchange rate had gotten and he told me that when he was in high school....late 70s........the candian dollar was worth more than the american dollar, like 85 cents to the dollar he said. At least its not that bad yet.
