i put in a K&N drop in and right away I could notice a little change...especially in the sound of the exhaust on the impala along with the magnaflow exhaust, and it felt as though the torque band was a little smoother...didn't feel like it added any horsepower though....still felt the same. I haven't noticed that it went away at all. It has been about 20k since I put it in so I still haven't cleaned it yet. I was thinking about doing it sometime the beginning of the summer. I don't know I would say go for it...even if it doesn't do anything for it, you'll never have to buy another filter again cus you can just clean it.

if the chip is that small...then I'm almost positive they can fix it....i've had a few fixed. I donno about the hiss though, is it loud?

i put a spoiler onto my car when I got it and had to drill 6 holes in the trunk lid to put it on....so im sure you would have to plug the holes and then prime and paint the trunk. I don't know...i'm a spoiler guy....id say leave it on.

the auras wood trim always was lined up...its just that in that in one of those pictures it looked off becuase of the door panels curves. I've never been a wood interior guy though....I have my impala's interior for that...hopefully changing it sometime soon. But both interiors look nice anyway IMO.

glad you got it fixed bud...it sucks having stupid little problems like that. Hope you now enjoy your new Tahoe.

i did the math one time and putting on about 45000 miles a year, with gas at like 2.75, it costs me about 1000 more a year in gas than it would driving a midsize car. Plus a brand new hybrid system is most likely going to have its own problems...so i don't see myself buying a hybrid suburban any time soon to get a few more miles to the gallon.

went by the dealer this morning and they had the 01 all cleaned up with 14500!!!!in the window....i hope no one pays that much for it....cus i would sold it to them for 10000 or less...haha

i LOVE everything but those rims....they look like $h! IMO....they would be the first thing to go if I ever bought that car....I hope they have a nice 5 or 6 spoke choice.
