Dashboard Trivia!
The toggle switches to the top left of the steering wheel remind me of...it is on the tip of my tongue. I know I have seen that before. ARGHHH...love these topics!

Buick News: Rumorpile: General Motors Close To A Decision On Opel Cascada For Buick
LOL stealing a Oldsmobile tag line I see, was it the early 90's that they use the tag "This is not your dads Oldsmobile!" LOL stealing a Oldsmobile tag line I see, was it the early 90's that they use the tag "This is not your dads Oldsmobile!" Thanks dfelt, I actually couldn't remember which used the line (since I think they were both considered "fuddy duddy") so I am sure you got my point. There is no question some brands get an "old people" label and I think Caddy is an example of how to get on board with a younger buying demographic. I started liking the Caddillacs more but maybe its the years and I am now old people. The other posters show that a Turbo, a sleeker design and keeping up with personal technology is reaching more of an audience.

State of the Site 7-9-2013
Sounds like you have a to do list, but enjoy the site and participating. With the "challenges" (I prefer to be more optimistic in my phrasing) and keeping the traffic, that's a great sign. There are some very interesting contributions here and I know I will keep coming back. All the best.

Wexford Pontiac night 2012 086
Thanks for sharing. My first car was a 67 Pontiac Firebird convertible. Love the GTOs. Wish that would be a come back car.

Name that car!
That rise in the roof only adds to the ugly duckling nature. Agree it has that old Dodge, Plymouth look to it. I do love all things classic so even though its odd, would be an interesting restoration and most likely you would get "looks" tooling around in that.

Faux wood grain Trivia!
You have my mind reeling. What was that car with the wood grain on the side with the big "buttons" that held it on...For some reason I am thinking "cornithian leather" and Ricardo Motalban.

TV Car Trivia
Don't know how I missed those two shows, but I honestly had no idea. Tell me if you know what the car is in the show "The Mentalist". I am thinking it is a Saab or something like that, but I have no idea. I love this topic of TV car trivia, especially those from "the day".

Rolls-Royce News: Rolls-Royce's CEO Says They're Thinking About Entering The SUV Fray
Why hesitate entering the luxury SUV market? I was a bit skeptical about the Escalade, but look what happened. Rolls Royce would just round out the top of the market that may have been waiting for something like an SUV. Anyone who drives one knows you got a car to drag kids and things around, and you can still got out to an affair in it. Makes sense!

Sneak Peek: New Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon Pickups
Had a Chevy half ton in the 80's and could not have been happier. Would love to see them expand the line a bit and these look like a tight, modern design.

Buick News: Opel Adam Could Be Coming To U.S. As A Buick
I remember Opel from a far back memory. It looks like a sleek design, different from some of the smaller cars that just seem shapeless. Would love to see what Buick will do with it?

Toyota News: Toyota recalls 235,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles
I am glad to see voluntary recalls which I think some manufacturers shied away from in the past. The sticking accelerators are a good example and my understanding was it took a while to get it out to the public. Our small town is where one of those recalls ended in a tragedy. It is better to risk a bit of bad PR than anyone's safety.

Chevrolet News:Hybrid Corvette? GM's President Says 'Don't Laugh'
I think it is going to be a reality. Detroit and the American auto industry has always been said to be behind the curve. Combining a hybrid with a tried and true sport classic is innovative and should be applauded. Hybrids are typically ugly little cars with no breeding, so the Corvette should set the mark!
