  1. Bump for @A Horse With No Name and @ykX I like seeing you' guys' lists.
  2. In much the same vein as Mt's Best Driver's Car- R&T- Performance Car OTY Thoughts?
  3. I mean in the sense that they are all large displacement V8's. And in cars of roughly the same purpose/characteristic. I just looked at prices on New Edges, and they are insane. No shortage of places asking teens for nicer, decent-mile cars. No way I'd pay that. These cars are 12 years old now at best, I'd maybe 10 grand for a really nice one. Maybe. And I love the Ford GT. I'd take it over most Ferraris. It just happened to fall into a pool that included some of absolute favorite creations to have come from Maranello- the 599 GTO and 458 Speciale.
  4. Nice list, ccap. A little one-dimensional, but nice.
  5. I would love to have even a standard New Edge GT to just cruise in and drive to work now and again. Such a good body style, I think it will continue to age very well. They weren't fast, they handle sloppily, and the interior is awful, but damn if they don't look great, are cheap to build and mod, sound great, and have endless potential.
  6. Yes. Also, holy crap on a stick, Boss 302's have dipped into the 20's!!
  7. I think I actually need to go check prices on Boss 302's.
  8. I'll let it count, since it did experience a name change. It's just borderline. I wanted more distinction on my list. The Boss is a great choice, too.
  9. Is there anything more Halloween than an orange Lambo?
  10. @ykX Hah! Perfect!
  11. Because they share so much. Basic chassis and interior, it's mostly a replacement of the guts. It's somewhat of a gray area. There is a gulf between the F430 and 458, while only a stream between the 458 and 488.
  12. Not sure about letting that 458 fly. I briefly considered using the Speciale, but wanted to go for clear-cut, different models.
  13. So this isn't a Dream Garage thread or anything, but in keeping in spirits with it being Halloween, post up some of your favorite cars that you think pair nicely with this kinda-sorta-holiday. Maybe you think they just have a sinister, dark look or demeanor to them. Maybe they were offered in color schemes that befit the occassion. Whatever the reason, post 'em up!! I'll start. I always thought the LF-A kinda looked like an angry jack-o-lantern. Which I totally love. It's one of all-time favorite cars. Not to mention that V10 banshee wail!
  14. You must have posted that just as I was typing. Tree'd, lol. And very nice list! I love the Boss.
  15. It's just too bad they decided to not make a performance model this go round. An IS-F with that 450hp V8 would have really shined.
  16. You still have one choice left!!
  17. I still love this car's styling. No way would I not get that sweet V6, though.
  18. If VW really wanted to drop a bomb in this segment, they should offer a small displacement turbo-V6, and make AWD available on the 2.0T. I suspect they limited the 2.0T to FWD to give a compelling reason to step up to the V6. Otherwise, the 2.0T's torque and powerband could make it hard to justify the V6. In reality, I think they just limited themselves to potential customers. VW seems to do this a lot. They could have been doing decent sales numbers on the Touareg this whole time if they just offered a V8 or a FI V6. Aside from the underwhelming powertrain, it's still a great vehicle with exemplary refinement and build quality, and great road manners. If nothing else, they needed to eliminate the heavy incentives and just drop the price 10 grand.
  19. Honorable mention to these fellows that greatly pained me to leave out- LP550-2 Balboni C63 AMG Black Series Aston Martin Vanquish Corvette 427
  20. This is one of the hardest ones I've compiled in quite some time. 997 GT3 RS 4.0 SVT Raptor 599 GTO 5th Gen ZL1 Convertible B8 RS4 Avant
  21. Full-on different generations. It's the only uniform way of doing this. I gave thought to including pre-face lifts/MMCI's, but then it becomes a matter deciding what counts and what doesn't.
