However you feel about Tesla, they done did broke the internet. And people want to buy their cars. They have done the hard work by building a superior brand. You mention Tesla to the average joe and they'll instantly think it's better than GM or anyone else. It appears to be the most credible electric car for the masses, and if anyone thinks the Bolt is any better looking, then I'll just say I like my dumplings long and smooth instead of fat and short - you'd be amazed at what gets clogged and what doesn't.

Except that same writer isn't consistent. I've read every single one of his commentaries. The VOLVO S90... also has black cladding over its front pillars and you see the gap between the carrier rail of the roof and the front pillar. Many Mercedes have it the S-Class does. So many instances of ridiculousness. The guy is joke, his reports are incredibly inconsistent and I would question his objectivity every time. But hey - a failed stylist makes for a great journalist. What do I know? Half-assed styling lead to a journalist job. And you know what they say about the press... But - this Navigator has many cues that are on other vehicles. But it's a concept still. And as for the Continental. That's immaterial to this vehicle. Everyone knows this is going to be on the new platform that underpins the F150. It's going have aluminum body panels - it was already announced for the Expedition and the Navigator. Unless aluminum is somehow a requirement for being a luxury vehicle. Because the Escalade is porker itself. And the highest pedigree luxury vehicles are porkers too. All this lightweight stuff doesn't apply to dinosaurs. It does to sport sedans. But not dinosaurs.- Your Dream Garage- 4.0-4.9 Edition

Proving people wrong left and right. Lemme pull a quote now from someone else. Actually two people. And I were to extrapolate what these two folks actually meant: Blind optimism might as well be stupidity. Man I'm going to rub as much salt as possible. People with attitude. Drop'em like its hot. I'll remember this - when the Cadillac CT6 plug-in - which I hope fails to sell as well. I hope it fails miserably. Because no one, no one should buy a flagship Cadillac made in China. It's just not right. It's a half-assed way to rebuild a reputation. I'm okay with Buick doing it. But Cadillac. nah. They're supposed to be the standard of the world, an American standard at that. Hell I'd kill an S-Class made in India with fire. I would bring back Cadillac - the right way. Anyways. ^ That moment is even better if you can work out placing your foot on their neck while you school them.- New York Auto Show: Lincoln Navigator Concept: Comments
The Escalade has a massive grille up front yet somehow that's a lovable feature. I like the Escalade. And I like this Navigator. One of them has a reputation, and the other doesn't. Oh well. As it was with the Continental - their key will be to deliver as much styling as possible from the concept. One touch I would really hope does make it is actually the headrests of the seats. They remind me of those old luxury car interiors. It might as well be like the Esclade a brick with couch like seats. And I think gear buttons have finally been implemented nicely.- Cadillac News: 2017 Cadillac CT6 PHEV is coming With 449 HP, 37-Mile Electric Range
You don't like it when your own style is dished out against you? General morons. What can I say?- New York Auto Show: Lincoln Navigator Concept: Comments
Some really nasty people on them internets. at other places. I think it looks fine. Show cars are show cars. The hell is wrong with that? Some people - obviously morons we don't need here. I like the interior quite a bit. if those are toggle-style gear switches that might be a huge improvement. Looks like they'll have a lot of space in this vehicle.- Cadillac News: 2017 Cadillac CT6 PHEV is coming With 449 HP, 37-Mile Electric Range
Yeah. You know what I've learned? We don't need stupid people - with stupid nonsense. Somehow GM has access to miracle battery chemistry. Damn well I better hope that the Volt has it - it's their flagship eco-vehicle at this moment, So when the CT6 gets terrible EV range like all electric plug-ins in real winter weather, there will be no skin of my nose! Like I said before, General Morons... they do exist. Yeessh.- Beautiful Cars Appreciation Thread
Balth - those appear to be very large stampings for the body panels, of the Eldorado Seville... is that a lost art? I remember reading that only certain utlra luxury cars get that kind of bespoke body panel size...- Beautiful Cars Appreciation Thread

You can swear all you like. ask and you shall receive. Skip to mark 2:45. Yup. And that's not even cold weather. 30 degrees. Yeah. Thanks for doing the work. U are good for something I see. The bottom line is that the CT6 is not using the same battery so U don't kno jack $h! until they actually do the test. Lastly.. I don't kno where U come from.. and seriously don't care.. so don't tell.. , but 30 degrees is cold in my neck of the woods. No no no. Excuse me, to quote you would be to stoop to your level. Mr. Dowdell, who happens to be rocket scientist answered your remark for you even before you mentioned range. Find it in this thread, And I don't care what you think - but crying that 30 degrees is cold is nonsensical. More like -30 Farenheit. That's cold. And you're going to get maybe 25 miles of range. Heck in a Tesla you'd be lucky to get 125 miles. It's batteries - it's how they work. Sheesh.- Cadillac News: 2017 Cadillac CT6 PHEV is coming With 449 HP, 37-Mile Electric Range
or how about what Volt owners have to say. http://www.mychevroletvolt.com/chevyvoltowner/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=304&p=1061&hilit=cold#p1061 I don't usually post proof when stuff is in the common domain, and a simple google search away. Anyways, the deets, 2016 Volt, guy lives in Maine, gets 35-40 miles range.- Cadillac News: 2017 Cadillac CT6 PHEV is coming With 449 HP, 37-Mile Electric Range

I still just sneer how Tesla crops up everywhere now whenever any large luxury vehicle is talked about. I mean, I don't want to pull out my Trump card...but everyone underestimated Trump, and now to dismiss him is ludicrous. Tesla doesn't have to win. They've moved the world forward. You've got Porsche doing sacrilegious things. You've got Bentley, Rolls, committed to electric. You've got all America Cadillac heading there. The sheep will follow, and the chickens will roost. That's what they wanted to - make the vehicle mainstream. Not a fad - it's going to happen. And the Bloomberg article, about the glut of incoming oil is correct. We're going to see internal combustion engines fighting for their life to remain relevant. Even in performance realms.- New York Auto Show: 2017 Fiat 124 Spider Elaborazione Abarth: Comments
- Another day in Belgium
Uh, just a post to acknowledge that there indeed were 2 bomb attacks in Brussels Belgium. People died, and quite a bit more people were injured. It was awfully close to the capital building and NATO HQ. And certain people with certain views on certain peoples and their faith will make a case that their proposed solutions will work. Those peoples are currently in a national primary election. ^ I neutered what I was going to say because no politics. I'd have to ban myself from the topic.- Your Dream Garage- 3.0-3.9 Edition
Just took a quick look at my Buick file, had an article on the '83. What's the advantage of the '85 over the '83… or why did you pick '85? 4-spd trans? Both '83 and '85 have 4-speed autos.... The final year of the E-bodies got some interior "fluffing" and other smaller mechanical enhancements. Also, pretty much any GM vehicle in the '80s is best in its final year on the platform because it took GM that long to get it right. I don't have the articles handy, but Buick was making tweaks to the Turbo 3.8 nearly every year in production in order to improve reliability. Water-boarding?? No, water boarding wastes water. We need to hoard it, come on people, we can't be the stupid people anymore!!! We have a problem, a serious problem. We can't let displacement be the judge of our vehicle taxes...- Cadillac News: 2017 Cadillac CT6 PHEV is coming With 449 HP, 37-Mile Electric Range
You're right. But Cadillac didn't see the writing on the wall. They could have been right up there - with 200 miles of range in the CT6 or some other vehicle that fills that role. Tesla Model S outsells the S-Class in America. It's going to come very close to the global sales of the S-Class soon as well. I imagine though that Cadillac is worried about vehicles cannibalizing sales of their entrenched nameplates. But like their advertising is supposed to communicate - daring greatly is what moves the world forward. The thing is, a company like GM doesn't even need to wait out this transition period. Like Porsche's Mission E, Omega should produce an all-electric vehicle only. But apparently the marketing head think's that's a dead approach. I hope he reconsiders.- Cadillac News: 2017 Cadillac CT6 PHEV is coming With 449 HP, 37-Mile Electric Range
Prime.. not to mention I'm betting good money that the range even on a cold day will be being reported as well into the 40s. Uh, no it won't. Several reviewers of the Volt in cold climates Michigan, Toronto, and the state of Washington have reported closer to the low 40s of electric range when fully charged in cold weather.- New York Auto Show: 2017 Buick Encore: Comments
